Hotel Porto Trindade

I booked this hotel for a 2-night stay after reading the many positive reviews on Trip Advisor, and it didn't disappoint. If you're coming from the airport, don't bother with a taxi; the hotel is just around the corner from Trindade metro station, and the newest metro line (the purple one) links the two. This hotel was recently renovated and has unique modern decor! It is located right across the street from a metro station- which was very helpful arriving from the airport. We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed coming back to the comfort after busy our days exploring the city. The rooms are very nice, clean and roomy! The breakfast was delicious and there was always a lot of variety. Friendly staff and great value too!

I chose this hotel mainly for it's location, right opposite the metro station. It was very easy from the airport and cost about 2 euros metro fare. I found the rooms to be of a very good size and they had coffee/tea making facilities in the room, lovely after the walk up the hill! I would not recommend the location for anybody with a walking disability. My father found the walk from the river front a bit too much but taxis are readily available and not too expensive. This was a very good experienc. The hotel is incredibly beautiful. It's modern, the rooms are adecorated ina very good taste. And they're confortable, magnificiently clean. The socail areas are very pleasant. The staff was nice and they spoke French! The location is obviously the best, it takes like half an hour to get to the aiport by metro and your exactly behind Porto's Hotel de Ville, 5 minuts walking from the shopping area and 10 min from the river side!!
