Wow just returned from a fantastic holiday at this hotel. After a previous holiday in Protaras ( being very disapointed) we were a little apprehensive about being all inclusive. We did not have to worry everything you could wish for was here. the snack bar was open all day from 10.30 - 5.30 and you could help yourself all the time. soft drinks and water were self service and the bar for anything else. food was good and i know some people might say repetative but after holidaying for over 25 yrs and stay ing in 2,3, 4* hotels aren't they all! There was a good choice served and a carvery every night. My son aged 13 chose to eat sometimes early in the snack bar or with his friends in the dining hall ( he had the best holiday ever). Staff were all lovely and friendly and considering it was all inclusive they did not scrimp at all and were constantly asking if you wanted a drink at night. Rooms were tidy and clean and spacious, we had not got a sea view but a ground floor one on the side with a little patio (as tour operator asked for nerly £300 fo it but check this out as hotel appears to only charge about £20 for sea views e-mail them) Would definitely recommend this hotel as we did not want to leave. The only reason i did not put 10 was we did have to report the toilet not flushing a couple of times and the shower head had to be held as there was no atachment but it didnt bother us much and any problem was quickly sorted. BEWARE the timeshare touts who appear from knowhere as you walk to Paphos a very firm no is needed or as my father tells them "i've already got one!they can be quite rude some of them. Animation team work hard and something going on to join in if you want to as well as evening entertainment.

We have just returned on monday from a weeks fantastic stay at the Ledra beach hotel.
We arrived in the early hours of the morning and the reception staff were very friendly and had drinks and food ready waiting for us on arrival.
Our room was spotlessly clean and to a nice decor. We had a free mini bar exclusive to all inclusive guests and air conditioning that we appreciated so much as most of the time the weather was in its high 30s!!
The hotel had very good daily and nightly entertainment to suit all ages, the food was a buffet style resturant and was exceptional, every night was a themed night with different dishes and so much choice.
A fantastic location right on the beach, would highly recommend to stay there again!!

hotel staff were generally helpful, cleanliness was good, although the bathroom was in desperate need of updating (the light didn't work), grimey tiles, etc, shower worn out.
food was a good standard although did appear repetetive at times, especially at poolside lunch bar.sky t.v. had limited programmes,I now realise that sky news repeat their information every 15 minutes! and was not available in reception, the t.v. at reception was placed in the smoking area!!( not pleasant if your a non-smoker).
the towel on loungers senario still applied and to get a lounger you had to be at the poolside or beach at the latest 07.00.
it was a good location, but the saving grace was the entertainment team who without the evenings would have been unbearable although I thought the shows starting at 10pm was later than we would have liked--very very funny and the team worked exceptionally hard!!--well done you.
to end our holidays the bus collecting us to go to the airport was an hour late which stressed us out as we risked missing our flight home!!!

I enjoyed two brilliant weeks at the ledra beach with my husband and two children aged 5 years and 2 years. We all really enjoyed our holiday our 5 year old did not want to leave!! The weather was gorgeous, the food was lovely especially the vegetables. Their was an immense variety of dishes to choose from even after 14 days! we found all the staff extremely friendly and they couldn't do enough for us and the children. The only thing that needs adressed is the dated bathrooms. We found the entertainment at night a bit too adult themed when so many young chidren are present. The location of the hotel was pefect. Great bus service.

Having just returned from this hotel yesterday, i was quite worried having read the previous reviews......ignore the negative ones
The food was more than excellent, the staff were excellent and so helpful, the rooms possibly do need a little updating but you dont go on holiday to sit in your room all day, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the air con worked, what more could you ask for!
What surprised me about this hotel was that it met the needs of everybody that visited, there were young couples like us, small families, large families and couples of the older generation, everyone was always happy and we did not witness one negative comment, what we did witness was people saying how they had returned year after after and would continue to do so.
Overall i would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone, well done Ledra Beach, it was an excellent holiday

just returned from ledra beach hotel june25 to july 9th 2008 as previously stated ignore the bad reviews, the hotel is fine, the food selection is excellent and the rooms are good, yes maybe some updating is required, the problem was after 11 days the football shirt and tattoo brigade started to arrive as was highlighted when a woman openly removed a babys nappy and just stuffed it into the nearest waste bin in the reception area,i can only suggest if your travelling without children pick your time to go carefully outside school holidays, also very hot late june july but lovely warm evenings.staff very friendly.

This hotel was superb.
The accomodation was great. The room was very good. The food was excellent. The only problems was the evening entertainment was naff although the daytime entertainment for adults and children was very good. Also the seting for everybody during the eveing was absolutely awful with people trying to keep chairs as you do with towels on sunloungers around the swimming pool. SMOKING AREA. people were smoking everywhere.
STAFF
Thank you so much ,you help made this holiday especially Mr Nikos, Sandra on reception, Mila and Andreass from the bar staff and Margaretha. Nothing was too much for all the staff.
Wedding
We got married in this hotel/ We organised everthing ourselves with the help of Mr Nikos the hotel manager for who everything had to be perfect. DO NOT GO TO ANY OLD WEDDING ORGANISER.
One girl was told on the day she entered the hotel by what is most probably the second biggest uk holiday operator that she could not get married on the day she had booked a year previosusly .Her relations which I understand totalled 27 would not have all been there on the day they wanted her to get married. I think the last name of the tour operator should have been CROOK and not C--K the rep was giving this girl so much CRAP .
FACT you independtly contact Mr Nikos and the local council by email and phone them. They are so helpful
SECOND FACT
No stupid costs
THIRD FACT
you get what you want

We have just returned from our holiday and i thought the hotel was tired, and in desperate need of a full make over. We booked our holiday some time ago, expecting to stay in a 4* plus hotel. What we ended up in was nothing more then butlins in the sun.
After staying in a villa previously in paphos, we thought we would try the hotel option on the all inclusive basis. The food in the restuarant was good for a while, then got repetitive and was ocassionally tasteless. All the drinks were watered down and the only beer they had was hideous. During the day the pool side bar served food, which was all fried, apart from the salads. Thank god!
The rooms were the most dissapointing part of our holiday. They were so dated, and this really put a dampner on the whole holiday. There was no sky tv and the the air con only blew hot air.
Me my wife and my 3 year old were looking forward to the holiday for months. After studing the brochure we were expecting to find a decent spa with jacuzi, sauna and gym. This turned out to be just a round bath in a room for the jacuzi and a run down shed for a sauna. We also wanted to take advantage of the kids club only to discover they only took children from 4.
The night entartainment was good, if you like bingo, and the same jokes everynight from the host. The only good thing was the childrens disco which my daughter loved.
We also got fed up with being constantly asked to play games round the pool in the day.
Overall i thought that the hotel was at best a 3*. I dont see how anybody can justify its 4*PLUS! rating. i shall never go back.

The bathroom could seriously do with some updating. Halfway through the holdiay the bath plug was removed without warning or explanation. I then found a notice about water shortage casually left in our room.
Buffet food was fine.
Location of hotel very good as walkable to Paphos and heritage sites, bars and restaurants.
The fact the hotel was geared up for all inclusive guests made the bar in the hotel and the food/bar service by the pool (diy all day for all inclusive) a little unaccessible for people not on half board as it wasn't clear what was on offer - no menus or information on food, drinks or prices on display. (note: when we went you could upgrade with the hotel directly to all inclusive for 20 euros per day per person for a mimimum of 4 days)
No information in hotel room regarding hotel services available - eg how you get a pool towel - this could be improved.
Overall not a bad hotel but not overwhelmingly fantastic. Didn't sample any entertainent but the team seemed friendly.
Many of the hotels are probably similar in this area as they were built around the same time

Fantastic holiday, all staff are just wonderful, the ents team great, special thanks to Tony. The guys and girls behind the bar, what a team, great to hear them enjoying themselves as well, but a special thanks to Jack.
Accomodation excellent, very well looked after.
Area excellent, excellent hotel surrounds.
The food in the hotel was varied and excellent, very well cooked, the restaurant staff very helpful. Perhaps later on in the year they may consider a Bar-B-Q by the pool restaurant.
The only down side of the area was the abundance of Time Share sales people who just do not understand the word no.
Buses run every 15 minutes from outside the hotel taking you to Paphos harbour, Old Paphos.
We will certainly return to this hotel next year.

the only reason i did not put 10 is because nothing is perfect. our holiday was amazing and the hotel made a big deal in making it that way. the hotel is very well done, the food is brilliant and the staff...well i think ill miss the animation team more than the country itself.
fanstastic holiday and i would recomend it to anyone (but summertime would probably be better for kids and weather)
if anyone from the hotel is reading this thank you for what may have been the best holiday ive had!

We've just got back from this hotel after getting married there. We had 2 weeks all inclusive, and we had our 7month year old son with us.
Nothing to do with the hotel as such but the first bit of advice is don’t book a hire car in advance. Either get one at the airport and pick the one with the least waiting or get one at the hotel. This tip will save you over an hour waiting to be served whilst you see your transfer bus go off into the sunset.
But anyway back to the hotel, it’s very clean and smart in all the public areas. This cannot be faulted but I would say that the rooms could be a bit better.
When we arrived we had a welcome bunch of flowers and a basket of fruit, the only problem was that they were covered in ants. When I complained they sent up a can of insect spray, which I couldn’t use in the room due to our child sleeping in there.
The bathrooms are in need of a serious makeover too, very dated.
The bars and restaurant are very clean and nice. The pools are great but very cold in November, so it was nice to have an indoor one.
The staff were very polite and helpful and in organizing our wedding day were first class.
I wouldn’t go back there only for the reason we didn’t get our money’s worth with looking after our son, but that isn’t the hotels fault, so overall I’d give it an 8.
Wouldn’t recommend November though, we got very lucky with the weather on our wedding day but most days were very windy and cloudy.

We have just come back from the Ledra Beach. The weather wasn’t too good on the first two days but got much better after that. Came back with a lovely tan. The Ledra Beach is a fantastic hotel. The food was excellent and there was plenty of choice.
The pool bar was also nice although the pizzas were left out until they were finished and then a fresh one would be brought out. Think this could be improved. However there was plenty of food in the restaurant.
The entertainment team were excellent; they worked really hard and didn’t pester too much. They always mingled with the guests in the bar after their shows.
The maid service was also excellent - fresh flowers daily, bed turned down and towels or night attire made into shapes on the bed each day.
The bar and waiting staff were also very friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The sparkling wine and cocktails were very nice and the Tia Maria coffee as a night cap was a MUST for a nightcap.
All in all I would recommend this hotel and although would never normally go back to a place twice would definitely consider this one.
