Hotel Locanda Salieri

If you are looking for a nice hotel, simple, clean, near Roma Square, this is quite good. From Roma square to the hotels is only 4 / 5 minutes walking. The price is good as the breakfast served in the restaurant down the hotel and the localization is quite good, if you come from the airport. There is a litle canal in front of the hotel, which makes the rooms views special. The back rooms also have a nice view to a garden. Have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Locanda Salieri, what can I say...a great budget hotel. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality considering its 1 star rating. Its spotlessly clean, staff are friendly and its in a good location. I'd would definitely return.

I was there last year for a week... BEWARE !!! In my room were BEDBUGS!!! Check before you rent a room.

I was nervous booking a one star hotel but after reading the reviews I took a chance. How surprised I was. The hotel was spotlessly clean and in a lovely quiet area, right on a canal and only 5 minutes away from Ferovia stop. This little B&B has recently been refurbished and, although small, was ideal for us for the long weekend in Venice. It's so easy to find and has a good map available from their website - 2 minutes walk from Piazzale Roma (which is the area of arrival from the airport and you can get to any part of Venice from there as it is at the top of the Grand Canal). We spent two nights in Locanda Salieri and found it to be a quaint, clean hotel which was nicely renovated and we would definately return to. Well located, just 5 mins from the train station and Piazzale Roma, while not on a main tourist strip which allows for a good nights rest. Breakfast is simple but again adequate and the staff are helpful with any questions you may have. Most memorable point I would make about this hotel is that it was very clean compared to most 1-2 star hotels we stayed in while travelling through Europe.

We returned to Venice for the last night of a 17 day Italian vacation and stayed at Hotel Locanda Salieri. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and less than a 5 minute walk to Piazzale Roma where one can catch a bus back to the airport for about $1 Euro. This hotel is very conveniently located -its very near the train station and bus terminal. Newly renovated, its very clean, with en-suite bathrooms. For the price I paid, (100 euros per nite for triple share - with breakfast too!) its really good value!! The staff are pleasant. Only thing, you cant talk or laugh too loud coz you would disturb the neighbouring rooms.

This hotel was a good value and easy to get to. It is a one star hotel with no perks, but I would stay here again. It is on a quiet canal near the bus & train station. They recently re-modeled and the bathrooms (although small) are new and clean. They do include a small continental breakfast in the restaurant next door. They have air conditioning, no TV, and hairdryer in room. The staff isn't very helpful and barely spoke english. But, if you want a reasonable rate, and want to stay in Venice, this is the hotel for you.

Locanda Salieri was great - recently upgraded with high quality ensuite bathrooms in every room. Some rooms overlook a pretty small canal, some a church behind but all are light and very clean. Easy to get to - just a few minutes walk from Piazza de la Roma where the airport buses and the vaporetti stop or about 5 minutes from the train station. We went on a flight & hotel package but rooms are available from 90 euros per night so excellent value for central Venice.
