Hotel Europa

We have just come back from another stay at this friendly family run hotel- we first visited as a couple just under a year ago and were so impressed with the hotel and its staff that this time we took our daughter, son in law and 3 grand daughters- the family enjoyed it just as much as us and it was good to see that the hotel suited people of all ages. Just got back from Ischia where we stayed a week at the Hotel Europa. Loved the Hotel, small and friendly, perfect location. No 7 bus to and from the port was very convenient. Rooms were comfortable and cleaned every day. It was above average continental breakfast. Only ate in hotel on the first night (as we like to try different places) but the food was good and very reasonably priced. Staff were helpful and nothing was too much trouble. My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend in May 2007. A quite acceptable little hotel, in a good location, a short walk from Ischia Ponte and a bus ride or a longer walk to Ischia Porto. Comfortable, pleasant, and the breakfast was above average. There is an internet point here the use of which is gratuitous. For baths and a spa you will probably want to go elsewhere as the facilities here seem to be minimal, but it's a good place to sleep for an affordable price. Hotel Ischia was very pleasant. The staff was great. The rooms and bathrooms were basic. Very clean and quiet. Good breakfast buffet. Great thermal/mineral pool and hydro massage. Good location for getting around Ischia Porto. However, one should be forwarned about the bus system in Ischia and the need to Validate/Stamp you bus tickets once you board the bus. Having never travelled by bus in Europe, we were unaware of this fact and were forced to Pay a penalty of 32 Euro on our first day. The so-called bus cop was extremely rude... more

Lovely hotel in good position by the Ponte, easy to get to by bus which runs every 15 mins from the harbour and stops almost outside the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean, rates very reasonable. We had a lovely 2 night stay there and would recommend without hesitation.

This was our second stay here and we can't speak highly enough of the entire experience. The hotel arranged our transport from the airport to the ferry terminal in Naples and from Porto to the hotel (and on our return journey) which went without a hitch. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with an excellent balcony. The meals are truly Neapolitan and are a joy to the taste buds and the buffet breakfast would cater for all tastes. Our second stay here because the first one was so good & we weren't disappointed . Very friendly & helpful staff . The hotel is great value for money & the food in the restaurant is again excellent value Hotel is superbly situated in between Ischia Ponte & Ischia Port with plenty to do & see with loads of good restaurants nearby if you fancy a change The island is easy to get around & Monte Epomeo is a must !! I stay with my european girlfriend in the month of August. The rooms, and ambiance at the hotel was immaculate and pristine. The linens, very fresh and Italian . The breakfast was very Italian and quite healthy and tasty. They had a special pool that had healing waters and every day they emptied and cleaned the pool to perfection before refill. My partner & I booked the Hotel after reading some of the reviews on this website. The positive comments are totally justified. The hotel is excellent. We stayed for 6 nights and were given a large room overlooking the castle. The staff were friendly and willing to help us at every turn. I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Europa for 3 nights in a "superior" room (balcony with deck chairs and A/C) and enjoyed it very much! It is a very short walk to the beach and within walking distance to the shopping area of Ischia Ponte and the Castle (well worth the visit). Breakfast was good and if you have an early morning departure the night guard wiill make your coffee to order (capuccino/espresso) as well as a light breakfast before you go.
