Eiffel Obsession
I booked this hotel for our honeymoon b/c of the candid photos of the Eiffel tower. I was a little disappointed when our room did not have a direct view. However, my request was satisfied our last 2 nights with a room on the 5th floor with a direct view of the tower. If you want a view, then you sacrifice space but it was worth it to have a balcony. The hotel service is amazing. They could not be more helpful. Every one of our requests were satisfied with courtesy and smiles. I absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Paris.

Hello! You are right to specify that if customers want a view, it is important to book a superior room. Thank you for the hotel service comments, I do my best to have a good staff. I hope to see you sonn among us Best regards Julie Palisse hotel@duquesneeiffel.com

Greatest hotel in Paris!
We stayed at the Duquesne Eiffel hotel in late July, and it is the best hotel! The staff are extremely helpful...willing to give you directions anywhere and mark out the spot on a new map (they'll give you a new one for each destination!) Close to the Eiffel tower, and many bus/metro stops around. We arrived very early at the hotel, and they had our room ready with 20 minutes (after traveling all night- we were so thankful to have a room so early in the morning.) I'd recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a great hotel in Paris...

Hello! We are the best hotel! So great! If we are nice it's also because we have very nice customers! One of the most important point for me is to have a good staff and they seemed to have been nice with you so thanks for them! See you soon. Best regards Julie Palisse hotel@duquesneeiffel.com

Tres chic!
My husband, my son and I spent a long weekend in Paris, staying at the Hotel Duquesne. We had spent a lot of time looking for a good, reasonably priced hotel, close enough to some of the major attractions. We were not disappointed. Our room had a fantastic view of the Eiffel tower, and was walking distance from the Rue Cler, with its marvellous restaurants. The Metro was also just a quick stroll away, and the Ecole Militaire and the Hotel les Invalides within spitting distance. The staff were friendly and helpful (even offering to post... more

Hello! If you didn't enjoy leaving, why don't you come soon to visit us? I'm glad you enjoyed so much your trip and I would like to thank you from all the staff. Sorry about your bag, we did our best but the post office in France doesn't have a really good organisation and we had some trouble to find the best way to send you back your bag. Magnifique
I am sitting in the reception of this charming hotel, waiting to go to the airport. What a brilliant time to write this review. Paris: It has been a very hot five days. I usually visit paris in autumn, so summer was a bit of a shock. It is very hot and very busy. However, this means there is more to do. More street entertainment, longer evening hours to relax with a glass of wine in an outdoor terrace and more people to meet. The area around the hotel is perfect. You can easily visit the eiffel tower, military school or... more

Hello! I'm glad you enjoyed Paris, July is a nice month to visit Paris, most of the parisians are away and Paris is only for tourists! The room 58 you got is a standard room and the view is not as good as the one from the superior room. Your comment is very nice and we hope to see you again among us. Best regards Julie Palisse hotel@duquesneeiffel.com

Great location - great hotel
My friend and I stayed here for five days in April and thought it was an ideal location. It is within walking distance of many sites. We booked through the internet but asked for an Eiffel Tower view when we checked in and got it. The staff was really helpful, the rooms were great - small, but clean. I would pass on the hotel breakfast and go out to the cafes and bakeries which are cheaper and better. Would absolutely return to this hotel!
Management response from duquesneParis

Hello! Fortunately, you could get a superior room when you checked in! We always do our best when we have the opportunity to satisfy customers. Many people are disappointed about the breakfast and I'm really surprised because in a bakery, you don't have the choice we offer. Thank you again for your nice comments. Best regards Julie Palisse

Great unpretentious hotel
We just returned from a ten day trip to Paris to celebrate my daughter's graduation from high school. There were five of us: two parents, one 14-year-old boy, and two jubilant 18 year -olds. We rented an apartment in the 7th arrond. but could not stay the last two nights as it was already rented, so we booked the Duquense Eiffel as it was close by. The first thing I noticed about the hotel was how friendly and helpful the staff was---everyone at the desk spoke English and were very patient with our questions. When we first arrived, the desk... more

Hello! Thank you, your comment is so nice. First of all, I'm glad you noticed the kindness of the staff, it is one of the most important value in a hotel. The thing we all want is to make your stay pleasant and for any request, if we can help the customers, we'll do it. You liked the decoration, that's great! I'm glad to tell you we should renovate the entire hotel next winter. I'm sure you will love it next time you come to visit us! You noticed also the quality of the windows, we bought the best, they are soundproof windows so you can sleep well, isn't it the purpose of a hotel? Thank you again for your kind note and I wish a lot of succeess for all your childre. Best regards Julie Palisse hotel@duquesneeiffel.com

Couldn't have been more perfect!
Just back from a 5-night stay at this lovely hotel in the heart of Paris. I booked it because of all the positive reviews on this site, and it definitely exceeded all my expectations. From the beautiful blue and yellow decor of our cozy room to the spotless and comfortable bathroom with the great view of the twinkling lights of la tour Eiffel--the hotel was just right. The location is very convenient with two metro stations within a two-block walk and lots of boulangeries where we got yummy things for breakfast. There is also a... more

Hello! What could I say after a such comment? Only thank you and it will be always a pleasure to have such nice customers. Thank you and see you soon. Julie Palisse hotel@duquesneeiffel.com

Great value and location in a great neighbourhood.
We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights and paid 100 Euros/night in a standard room. Functionally the room had everything we needed since we were only there to sleep anyway. We didn't think paying for a view of the Eiffel Tower justified a higher price, but that was a personal decision. The service was friendly and spoke english competently. The biggest problem we had was that our wake up call came an hour late for our last morning and we were almost late for our flight home so I would still suggest bringing your own alarm clock. We... more

Hello! The price you had was a discount and even if you hadn't had a view, the price should have been 155 € per night. About the wake up call, I'm realy sorry about it, it should have worked. I guess the person in charge of the night forgot to activate it. It is the first time I heard such a comment and I apologize. We dont usually forget wake up calls! About the locks, I'm happy to tell you that we changed all the door locks, it was a real problem for our customers and for us. Rue cler is for Parisians a common street and I noticed that all american customers love it, it is a chance the hotel Duquesne Eiffel is locating at a walking distance (5 minutes) I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and I hope to see you soon. It's pronounced "Du-Cain"
All the previous reviews were right on! This place was great. Quiet, comfortable, very clean, and the staff, specifically, Pretty, were extremely helpful. We booked a superior room in advance, and were not disappointed, on the first floor, room #15, with a great view of the Eiffel Tower. If you are late for breakfast, you will not get any ham ;-) The windows to the street had great sound supression which really kept out the street noise...Great water pressure in the shower, with consistent temperature. Now onto 4 great tips, and... more

lovely hotel
Hi, I stayed in the hotel over easter 2006 for 4 days and I must say I was very pleased with it. The room was on the 3rd floor and we could see the Eiffel tower. The entire room was very clean and nice. Service was great and we had a nice athmosphere. The neighboorhood is nice and safe. And you can reach every attraction within minutes by metro or even by foot. I definitely recommend this hotel. If you want to spend a few nice days in Paris with your loved one this is definitely a good choice. We payed 100 euros/night for the double... more
