Hotel de la Mer

If you want all the amenities of the big Tel Aviv hotels along the Mediterranean, this is not the place to stay. However, if you're looking for a mid-priced, clean, friendly place to stay with a good-sized room and bath and a great location, the Hotel de la Mer is the place for you. This is a great boutique hotel in a great location. One block from the beach and within 15 minutes walking of all shopping areas and restaurants. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I stayed in a sea view room with its own balcony. Well worth the price. Room looked recently renovated with modern look. The only minor negative is cab drivers do not know where the hotel is. Oh yeah, best breakfast I had while I was in Israel.

Stayed here at the end of 4 weeks of traveling in the middle east. I absolutely loved it. It was peaceful and the staff is very professional. The rooms are small but very comfortable and peaceful. I will definitely stay here again when I visit again!

Third time staying here. Great location; superb value; a 2 minute walk to the beach; nice breakfast included. We stay in a balcony room with a view of the sea, and loved it. The rooms are not big by American standards, but comfortable. The staff are very friendly and try to please. Free wireless internet! Free coffee and tea in the lobby. The price is really right, compared to the high end Hilton, Sheraton and Intercontinental, that may charge 3-4X the rates of de la mer.

I stayed at the Hotel de la Mer in July 2006. I found it to be average, very small, and located right next to a busy highway. The hotel had no record of my reservation and I was initially offered a room that had not been cleaned yet because the cleaning staff could not be found. I declined the offer and eventually got a room in the front of the hotel with a small balcony with ocean view (behind the highway and a parking lot). have just returned from a 2 week trip to Israel and I spent 3 nights at the Hotel de la Mer. It is close to the southern part of Hayarkon street, quite near to Allenby Street. I have no problem with the location or the hotel. My daughter and I walked for miles while we were in Tel Aviv and the location of the hotel was not a problem at all. The people at the front desk were helpful and the rooms were clean. The rooms are fine-small by American standards but you are in Israel not the US. This was a great find, a boutique hotel one block back from the beach. The rooms are small but have everything you need. I stayed in room 301 which is the largest in the hotel, on the top floor with as huge terrace overlooking the sea. All the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Breakfast also excellent, all freshly cooked. Highly recomended.

Good location, good price in a city of overpriced hotels. Its not on the beach but the deluxe rooms have a nice view of the sea and a nice balcony as well.Clean and well kept. We've stayed there a few times, with no problems or regrets.

Great location, attentive staff - rooms are European style but very clean and new. The staff is extremely friendly and goes out of their way to attend to your requests. The breakfast is the best in town. Stay here once and you'll be hooked!

This is a wonderful boutique hotel that is located on the Mediterranean. Step outside the door and you are on the beach. It is conveniently located, beautifully decorated and appointed. The Feng Shui design sets a calming mood as soon as you step into the lobby. The staff is very attentive, helpful and is always available to resolve issues that arise. After my stay, I had a hard time coming home without the style, service and calmness of the hotel. I look forward to returning soon.
