Ecellent hotel
from A TripAdvisor Member
What a charming place. Not easy to find as it is in the old quarter but worth the struggle. The rooms are not large but well furnished; our bathroom was up a few steps and as we dried ourselves after a shower we could look out of the bathroom window at the Alhambra - best bathroom view we've ever had! The hotel was not full early in October, 2004 but there were other guests; we only knew that because we saw them at breakfast. Although there is an inner courtyard it is not noisy at all. The staff was very helpful and seemed genuinely glad to...

A gem of a hotel
from A TripAdvisor Member
The hotel is beautifully designed, comfortable, and extremely pleasant. Its unique design fits with the architecture of Granada. Within walking distance from the Alhambra and cafes, restaurants, etc. The staff is helpful and gave excellent dining recommendations. Would definitely visit the Casa Morisca again !
the suite is worth spending the money!
from german2
Before getting to Granada i read most of the comments here and i decided to book the suite for the last to nights of our stay in Andalucia. And it is worth the money! a wonderful hotel, very friendly staff, a view from the bed on the alhambra, not to mention the wonderful old wooden ceiling in the room and the jacuzzi in the bathroom. Of course its quite expensive, but really somthing special and charming. Don´t worry about the Alhambra tickets, the staff will organize them for you. And we could park right in front of the hotel. i think it...

Very Cute Hotel
from mswoojie
This hotel is so cute and is more like a bed and breakfast. The hotel and the rooms have character and style. The staff was so knowledgeable and helpful especially when we wanted to reserve tickets to the Alhambra. It is a 15 minute hike to the Alhambra and another 15 minutes walk downtown. There are tons of restaurants on the street. I had reservations when I booked about the noise but we did not really notice it. If you have ever lived in NY, you are fine.
Ambiance and great staff
from David_B
We were only in Granada one night. After we got to this hotel, we wished we had planned to stay longer. The place is everything the other reviews say it is. Clean, well run, well appointed, etc. A half block from the hotel is a square that sits at the base of the Alhambra. Sitting there at sunset -- when the Alhambra ligths up red against the sky -- was one of the highlights of our trip. The staff showed us a "short-cut" up to the Alhambra, about a fifteen minute scenic walk. They also helped us with our train reservation to Seville....

Nice, but a bit overpriced
from JSLJLS
When I was heading to Grenada for two days earlier this July, I choose to stay at Casa Morisca largely based on the glowing reviews I read here. While I liked Casa Morisca and found it to be a lovely place, I did not find that it was worth its cost. Plus it is a bit of a walk to the hotel if you are coming from the center of Grenada-- and definitely take a taxi from the train station. My advice-- compare this cost with other like hotels in Grenada. I believe we could have had charm and quiet for less the price. Oh and the...

Can't say enough good things . . .
from BayAreaCouple
My husband and I just came back from a two week trip to Spain covering six cities and the Hotel Casa Morsica was by far our favorite hotel of the trip. The charm begins as you walk through what looks like a four hundred year old door into a lovely courtyard. This small hotel oozes with charm and seemed authentically Spanish. Fabulous location - the walk up to the Alhambra literally begins two blocks away. It's maybe a 10 minute walk into town (or a quick cab ride). The room's amenities were modern but the old world charm remained. The...

Magical hotel in a stunning location
from A TripAdvisor Member
Loved this place. Wish I had read through the other reviews in detail before we attempted to drive there!! We had got directions from the tourist office at the airport. She told us it was simple, but it was a nerve racking white knuckle trip for us. At one point we were tantalisingly close to the hotel (less than a block away, but there was a brick wall blocking the street from us) and we got stuck in the maze of EXTREMELY narrow cobbled one way streets. Once you do this, you are committed and just have to keep going; at one point we had to...

Tiny room, Street Noise... but Yes a charming hotel
from TheTravelingGirl
With only one night in Granada we were hoping for a perfect romantic getaway... and at Casa Morisca..we found it. A perfect oasis in a perfect location...You couldn't ask for an inn more charming. The staff was most helpful and pleasant ( not always the case in spain)HOWEVER, we specifically booked an INSIDE room, (ie no view) to avoid the noise issue. It was even so stated on our reservation. Unfortunately, we were giving a room on the first floor, facing the street. The noise kept us up all night and to make matters worse. the charming and...

Simply perfect
from A TripAdvisor Member
We found Casa Morisca delightful and excellent value for money and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. For a romantic break the location cannot be beaten and the place simply oozes atmosphere and understated style, but it was the warm welcome and help we received from Ana at reception that made our visit really special. We had a 4-year-old child with us, but we were charged nothing for either her accommodation or her breakfasts – and she probably ate more that the two of us! Ana arranged a delightful English-speaking babysitter and also...
