Hotel Casa Grande

We stayed for 2 days in Jerez and found this wonderful accommodation. It's not very cheap (€115 for a 3 person bedroom) but it's absolutely worth it. It's managed by a German Lady, which speaks fluently at least English, Spanish and German. The service was faultless, careful like a 5 stars hotel and warm like a guesthouse. The Building was an hold house (as the name Casa Grande which means Big House) with a wonderful internal patio where you take your breakfast. Having been recommended Hotel Casa Grande by other Trip Advisor reviewers (using this service for the first time) we were extremely pleased to find the Hotel and Staff exactly as described. It is a small hotel, and our rooms were also relatively small by modern hotel standards but certainly adequate for our one night stay - the bathrooms were very nice. We recently stayed at the Casa Grande in Jerez for 4 nights at the beginning of June. Not knowing Jerez at all we did some research on the internet and eventually booked this hotel due to the large number of positive reviews on tripadvisor. I am pleased to say that we were not disappointed at all and were incredibly impressed by Monika (the manager) and her efficient staff. From the minute we walked into the Hotel we were happily greeted by Monika. The hotel is a delight. A beautiful indoor patio where we enjoyed the lovely breakfast buffet. Car parking..no problem.. all taken care of by Monika. Monika is a fund of info on Jerez from the best Tapas to the best Flamenco. We had a health problem one day and Monika was so kind and helpful. I'll never forget the moment I first walked into the Hotel Casa Grande. I had been told by American friends of Monika that she owned a hotel in Jerez, but I had no idea it would be such a beautiful and charming place. It's my understanding that this hotel was once a mansion owned by a wealthy family and that Monika renovated it completely, but kept the original feel of the home. We booked this hotel based upon the reviews, and they are all true! Monica and Lola greet you at the door as if you are long lost family. The hotel itself is beautiful.....high ceilings,marble throughout, with large bedrooms and baths. The breakfast served makes you happy that you are in Spain and that lunch is not served until 2:00pm. The computer room lets you stay in touch with the world -no charge for computer use- and library, and bar area are both inviting as well. We stayed at the Hotel Casa Grande for the Feria in May. The hotel location is great for the old town and only a short walk from the new shopping center. The bus stops almost outside for the Feria, or you can walk as we did a few times, but its quite a way! a taxi is around five euros. The hospitality from the owner and the friendliness of the staff was second to non with nothing too much trouble. I booked this hotel for a weekend break during the Jerez Feria del Caballo. I chose it on the strength of its Tripadvisor reviews and was not in any way disappointed. This is an excellent hotel, and even at an increased rate for the Feria, good value. My room (5) was large and light, the bathroom well-equipped, modern and very clean. The whole hotel is similarly immaculate, even the public bathrooms having an antiseptic gleam. The room looked out over an attractive square. A small personal hotel where the owner does everything to help your holiday be special. The room we had was clean. larger than most we have stayed in and airy, excellent for the price. The breakfast freshly cooked. Located right in the centre of town without being noisy. Recommended, and I don't recommend lightly or often.

Warm and wonderful hospitality! Casa Grande is a super base to chill out and discover the delights of Seville, Cadiz & the 'Bodega Trail'. The rooms are elegant & comfortable with contemporary bathrooms. Breakfast was a delight with fresh fruits daily.We had travelled to Jerez to spend time with our son while training at 'The European Flight School ' and discovered an amazing part of Spain.
