Standard Hotel--Good Value
Stayed here for a few days prior to a cruise departing from Lisbon. The location of the hotel is far from the major tourist sites, however there were a couple of subway locations about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. We were able to get around the city easily by subway. We were upgraded to a Suite based on our ambasador/platinum status with the hotel chain's frequent guest program, priority club. The suite was of a good size and the accommodations nice and clean. The bathroom was of a good size. The shower's water pressure was wonderful. I... more
Good value Holiday Inn
Good standard Holiday Inn. Went as part of a group of 11. All had rooms of a good quality. All doubles, some had 2 double beds. We paid 69euros per rom per night Cleanliness good. Breakfast slightly pricey at 12euros, but of the hot buffet type, and seconds (free) were possible to set you up for the day. Restaurant and bar v.quiet in evenings (surprisingly), so its best to venture out for food. Alameda metro station near by to get into city centre. runs till aboiut 0100 hours. Taxis are also reasonably priced<br... more
Great for a few days in Lisbon
We stayed here for a couple of days the week before Christmas. Check-in staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was a very spacious suite, both clean and comfortable. Whilst not in the city centre, it was a ten minute walk to two metro stations. A taxi rank outside the hotel was also useful as we managed to visit during heavy winter rain! Being the ‘right side’ of town for the airport and mainline railway station meant onward travel was easy. Wireless internet is available in the rooms, but charges apply. We did not eat at... more
Very good.
I found this hotel to be very good. The staff was friendly, the accommodations on the executive level where I stayed were quite good (the room was extremely large by European standards), the restaurant was great, and the pool was pretty good. The hotel was fairly near to tourist sites, and near to a metro stop. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
We stayed for 2 weeks!
We had booked into this hotel initially intending to spend a few nights there and move on elsewhere in Portugal. We enjoyed Lisbon so much and found so much to do (for two 50 year olds with a 13 year old daughter) that we ended up staying there for 2 weeks. We walked from the hotel to the metro station every day (around 15 minutes away) and got around easily. There was an Erotic Club sign opposite the hotel which you could see at night - I was a bit worried when I saw that at first - but we found the area to be fine and never had a... more

it s ok, but far from everything
Nice and efficient
We stayed at the Holiday Inn just for one night before flying home and after traveling around Portugal and Spain. The hotel is comfortable, clean, efficient, and has a surprisingly good restaurant. Great value for the price, and most of the staff speaks English and were friendly and helpful.
Good Value (Packages)
We booked a package that included Champaign and chocolates upon our arrival. Breakfast was also included in the 99 Euro per night room rate. We were upgraded (free) to a suite upon our check in. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful. However the restaurant is not the best value (as with most hotel restaurants).
Very bad reservation service
I was delayed because of the bad weather in the US. I called the hotel to notify them, what i am used to do in similar situation. They started to tell me that i will be charged for all days i initially booked (problem that i never had previously). Later I realized they simply canceled the reservation. I called them back (another phone call to Portugal! and people I spoke with were not especially friendly), asking details and the reservation number (they did not gave me this number previously). They told me that the reservation is "pending".... more
Very Clean Hotel
The hotel was a few minutes walk from the metro (Alameda). Make sure you turn the right way when heading towards the hotel, do not head towards the grass and water fountain, it is the other way up the hill. The hotel was very clean. We stayed in room 809 and it was massive. The shower was very powerful and there was a hairdryer in the bathroom. Do not drink from the mini bar 4Euro per can of coke. We did not eat from the hotel; due to the cost of the mini bar put us off. Only one problem was the noise of the doors closing, because... more
