Hampton Inn and Suites Islamorada

I have stayed all over the Florida Keys this is the best value by far. Staff is very friendly and the pool area is very nice. Having the bar and Outback right next door is nice. Breakfast in the morning was great as well. I have stayed at this property three times and am going back for Christmas 2005 with my family. Excellent!

We have stayed at this hotel for several years and it has always been a good family hotel. The Out Backs on premises is a fun place to eat and have drinks. The service has never been too good but this last stay we experienced the worst service we have ever experienced at any hotel. Housekeeping did minimal, in every occasion would say that they didn't have things available such as pillows, towels, etc. In fact on one day it was 3:00 pm and I had called twice to have fresh towels and our garbage taken out. This was our first stay at a Hampton Inn. The facilities were clean, neat, and modern, and above average in every aspect. The free continental breakfast was adequate, but nothing special. The hot portion of the breakfast consisted of a warming tray of egg "patties" that looked more like pancakes than anything else. Lots of easy access to boating, fishing, and water activities that can be booked through the hotel.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Islamorada over the Easter break and it was expensive but great. The rooms are beautiful. We had 2 rooms; a 1 bedroom suite and a 2 bedroom suite. The 2 bedroom overlooked the pool with it's own private patio. The 1 bedroom was on the 3rd floor kind of overlooking the parking lot, but not a bad view beyond it. It was a bit noisey because of it's proximity to the highway. Ask for a room towards the back of the hotel if that kind of noise bothers you. My husband and I stayed at a Hampton Inn for the first time in Islamorada, Fl and loved it, although we never sent a review. We loved the fact that it was clean and updated, and offered do-it-yourself conveniences to guests, such as valet carts for your luggage, and clean, coin operated laundry rooms. We had stayed at the Hilton in Key West, and the Hyatt in Fort Lauderdale, where luggage and laundry can be handled for you. Great room, wonderful service, spectacular view and very clean kitchen and room. Loved the Hampton Inn Islamorada

Stayed there just before Christmas 2000. Got a fantastic rate on a 2-br suite ($129/nt). Pros: Outback Steakhouse on premises; hammocks/seating on beach; beautiful grounds; super hot tub and pool; clean, quiet rooms; close to everything in upper Keys. Cons: beach isn't what you'd expect; 2nd br in 2-br unit had to use a bathroom in main area. Overall: I'd definitely stay there again! What a deal and we love the restaurant and outdoor bar on-site and on the beach.

This place was great and we would recommend it to everyone. The pool was great especially with the extra perk of being outside the "Outback." Breakfast wasincluded int he price and even an Atkins follower or South Beach dieter would be able to have a hearty meal. Very impressed!!

OK, here's the good: -Pool/beach/tiki bar (part of Outback restaurant on premises) w/live music. -Sany beach w/nice chairs, shade, etc. -Rooms generally good/exc (see below caution) -Walk to Papa Joe's marina/tiki bar -Good & free continental breakfasts Now the bad: -Many 1BR suites have NO WINDOW, and ours had bad moldy a/c, plus smoking room- stale.
