Great Buffet
This review is a bit out-dated as we stayed there in 1999 (when the hotel was brand spanking new) but its still worth a mention as we were just so impressed with the room size, breakfast spread and food. The location is not too bad either - although one would need to take a taxi to KLCC (city centre). Malaysian Airlines sometimes does a free stayover in KL (en-route to somewhere else) - we got a deal from an agent in India where we just paid for the tickets and the airline threw in 3 Nights accomodation free. Unbeatable! We went... more
Glorious food but lots of small cockcroachers in the toilet and room
The hotel was advertised in the New Paper. They had promotion price. Thus book through phone. The first call was teribble coz the staff reluctantly answer any questions. He only said that executive room is only available on 15 dec. I called again and this time the staff was more polite and really took down my particulars and can hear the sound of the keyboard. We were given deluxe room on the 14th floor. Nice view for my dad but my room seem to be blocked by aircon and water tanks.Asked for a change but the staff told us there is no more... more
A Grand Experience!
ROOM- We had a deluxe suite on the 26th floor. Fantastic view of The Petronas. Although the air conditioning was extreme. The bathroom was good with a hair dryer. The refrigerator was not well stocked. The hotel allowed me to have a guest in the suite at no extra cost....of course it was without their knowledge. But no questions were asked. ROOM SERVICE- was efficient.Though you might face a problem with their english. CONCIERGE- Helpful but they failed to give me a message left by my friend at the reception. Baggage kept with the... more
Nice hotel but loads of Cockroaches
The lobby was nice and on first inspection so was our room but we quickly began to notice cochroaches (as mentioned in a previous review) not the huge fully grown ones just up to 2 cm, they were mainly on the wood and in the bathroom, esp the sink. The room was nice-ask for a petronas towers view. We got toiletries including a razor. We didnt complain about the cochroaches as we thought there were so many they must be a\in all the rooms. we were on the 25th floor! On the whole the staff were very helpful, we had to check out a... more
Great view
The hotel offers great view on most of KL's skyline. Apart from the fact that it is slightly off the major roads in Kuala Lumpur, my stay was quite pleasant. Anyway the Monorail station is just few minutes' walk from the hotel. Service was good and the rooms were clean and neat. They only have 3 F & B outlest though. However their Indian buffet was delicious. Overall a pleasant experience. Lighting can be improved.
Terrible food
It is out of town, overcrowded with big groups. If you like Western food, forget it! They had 2 waiters for the whole big breakfast room! The only nice thing is that we had a great view of the Twin Towers.
Really Grand
The Grand Seasons is K.L.'s Highest Hotel. We stayed on the 28th floor in one of the 800 rooms of this Hotel. Fantastic views of the Twin Towers round to Lake Titiwangsa. Good pool, piped music and wide selection of excellent food. A huge Ball-Room and convention facilities. Close to Chowkit Station of the monorail. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Seasons. Recommend the experience.
not happy
Disappointed with the service received, after complaining about having cockroaches in our room, we were moved after requesting one but no opology was given, we did expect better service.for a 4 star hotel.
Good Hotel but at times overcrowded
I was on a Vacation with my Wife & 1 small Kid with all prior Reservations. The Hotel probably boasts of having maximum number of Rooms in a Kuala Lumpur Hoel, but the Reception Counter Executive could not still give me a Room with a Joint Double Bed, instead I had to settle for seperate beds. One very strange thing I noticed in most Malaysia Hotels is the akward Check-in time they publish of 2 PM & even 3 PM, whereas you have to Check-out by 12 Noon. Sometimes it is very inconvenient to match these timings, especially if you are flying into... more
Excellent!
I found that this hotel was excellent in everyway apart from being slightly out of the centre of the city. However taxis are cheap enough so it doesn't really matter. Rooms are opulent, staff are friendly and efficient. Meals are superb. This would be my hotel of preference next time I go to KL.
