i thought this apartments looked nice but they where a discrase. normaly i dont lok at review's because they are a lode of rubbish. the staff are rude. some staff nice but mainly horrid. the pool was green!!! reallt drty. but the surounding area nice! all nice apart from the hotel pool and staff!

Damon Hotel - Excellent Value from Charlie010
We stayed at the Damon for two weeks in October. This is our fifth visit in the last five years and we look forward to our next vist. We found the hotel staff friendly, helpful and caring. The location is ideal for walking to harbour, beach, old town etc. This is the best value accomodation we have found and we have been visiting Cyprus since 1986. Highly recommended. more

This was the second trip to the Damon this year ( the previous one was in May). The taxis were booked through the hotel and were waiting when we arrived - and were significantly cheaper than those for hire at the airport. The rooms were clean and the maids did their job. The second pool has made an excellent addition as it is quieter round there and you can swim without having having to negociate the children who are enjoying the main pool. Just had an excellent two week stay at the Damon Very friendly and helpful staff,excellent amenities and comfortable apartments, ideal position for restaurants and bars and within walking distance of harbour, town centre (20 mins) and Tombs of the Kings site. We found our stay very relaxing and comfortable(11 nights). The hotels' pool was very inviting especially with the glorious sunshine that we brits lack. The hotel staff were very helpful, warm and friendly. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and this allowed us to be flexible. we stayed at the damon hotel october 7th for one week we are glad it was only a week the rooms are very dated and in a poor state and dangerous there are metal spikes that come out the floor that holds the doors open when we arrived and we where given two top floor one bedroom apartments even though we had our 15 month old grandson we did compain the next morning but we were told they were fully booked and they said they would move us when another room become availible. guess what it never happend the aircon did not work... more

Don't know what all the whinging is about - you get what you pay for and the price is extremely reasonable. What do people expect for breakfast at £2.14 (I recently paid £10 in Germany and ok it had more choice). It might be rated four star but it does not carry four star prices! What do people want? This is our fourth stay in the Damon and our first time not to have a back room so it was made all the more enjoyable with a pool view this time. Just returned after staying 12 nights, previously requested quiet room to find on first night some compressor continually starting and stopping below our room so loud we got no sleep. To be fair they changed our room to one overlooking the swimming pool and bar, but with the entertainment going on most nights until after 3 this was just as bad. we stayed at the damon at the end of sept,the room 510 was dirty when we got there and the floor was not swept all the time we where there. our friends had a room in the same block and there room was just as dirty,the actual rooms were a good size and well equiped. the main road is very noisy so you need a few drinks for a good nights sleep. the staff were all ok exept one misserable git behind the bar so we didn't drink there. we would not go back. more

we always rely on tripavisor reviews before we book, and i have one question... how can so many people get this wrong? We stayed at the Damon in September, yes the staff are friendly and the location is quite good having some bars and restuarants near by..... but that is where the good stuff ends. We arrived, were greeted and given our room key, ten minutes and six rooms later we settle for the best of a bad bunch (for which we had to pay to upgrade). Never in my life have I requested to change rooms, but this place was a joke!... more
