Garni Hotel Berc

Can't complain about anything here, considering a very reasonable price. A newish build in traditional style just 5 mins away from the lake. Luka, the owner, was very helpful to his guests and the free use of bikes was a real bonus. Clean, spacious and above average cold breakfast buffet.

Following good reviews on here we stayed at the Garni Hotel Berc for the first 3 nights of our holiday and thought it was delightful. Bled 'town' was much smaller than I'd realised, with all the hotels and pensions pretty much on top of each other, but we all felt that we were not only in the best looking hotel in town but also the best location - a couple of hundred yards from the shore and all the restaurants and yet with views behind to hills and open space. We're writing a second review of the Berc Hotel because we had an even better experience there last week than in May. On the humorous side, the young manager Miha managed to mix up our reservation again, so instead of staying at the Penzion (which we're constantly trying for but obviously cannot achieve) he put us up in the Hotel for four nights at the price we would've payed at the Penzion. Naturally, we didn't complain. If that's at all possible at this wondruous place, we were even more satisfied with our room than last time.... more

We have just returned from a great holiday in Slovenia, staying 6 nights at the Garni Hotel Berc. We researched on Trip Advisor prior to making a booking and this hotel seemed to have received very positive feedback. When we arrived, we were certainly not disappointed! We received a warm welcome and were allocated a great room. Lots of wooden features, huge bathroom and spotless throughout. Plus the benefit of a long balcony with table and chairs. Stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in May, and it was excellent. The room was spacious and the bathroom was also huge. Each morning we looked forward to the breakfast, which had a wonderful choice. We felt that we were treated as part of the family. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. One of the best features was the use of the free cycles, we used these on quite a few days to cycle around the lake and to visit the Vintgar falls which were spectacular. All the restaurants in Bled that we visited offered excellent food at reasonable prices.... more

This was a holiday of a lifetime! Basically, this is one of the best hotels to stay in because the owners are extremely helpful and make you feel at home as soon as you get there. It's also in an excellent location, near the other hotels, restaurants, shopping area, cafes; but it's not too close. A perfect place to stay.

Stopped in this little gem of a hotel last week for 4 nights. It is very clean with larger than average rooms. The bathroom is very large. The position is excellent and it is only 5 minutes if that to the lake. It is set in a very peaceful location, away from the traffic noise of the main road. Our room had a balcony that looked out onto a forest. Luka was very nice and helpful. Bled itself is very nice, the lake is beautiful and there are lots of great walks up into the hills etc. The walks are numbered on maps... more

I booked two nights at this lovely pension. At first we drove past it and I commented to my husband wouldn't it be great if it was that one? pointing to a lovely Bavarian style looking hotel all made of wood. We were pleased that it was that one! The hotel is all new and the rooms are large and very comfortable with bathroom, balcony and tv (with some english channels! unlike others). They could of actually fit in a bath as the bathroom was large and get rid of the bidet! That would be my only advice. The breakfast was very nice... more

Yet again, we had a lovely stay here! The Berc family are all really welcoming and Luka (who runs this one) is always very friendly and helpful. The rooms, balconies and building are immaculate and spacious - and the underfloor bathroom heating is a real bonus in winter! They have an honesty bar downstairs which is great for making tea or coffee, etc and I believe internet access is also available. The area is very quiet and close to everything - with the lake and "town" only 5 minutes away! Definitely highly... more

hello we stayed in this hotel in sept. the hotel is small but very nice and clean.they have a good breakfast with plenty of choices...comfortable beds..good location...very nice staff..ludwig really goes the extra yard to help if he can..internet service..i really enjoyed my stay.
