It was okl
The rooms were clean, SOME staff was friendly but their slots were so tight. My husband went to the bar for a drink and was charged for the drink and we had spent way over $1000.00 this was very upsetting so we decided to gamble only at other casinos for the rest of our stay. I did find looser slots at the other casinos. I did enjoy one of their table games I had only found in this casino. I was upset with them trying to pull promotions on me as I entered and exited the casino. I Think I will try somewhere new to stay next year.
Great Value
Go to Vegas twice a year. This was our first stay downtown. Poker tournament was within walking distance. I will stay downtown from now on. Fremont st. is always jumping with a festive crowd. Stores and eateries are close to all of the casinos. The Fitz was the best. Small casino but very friendly from the valet to the front desk. Couldn't have asked for better service. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Everybody working there seemed to be "proud" of their hotel. $1 roulette and $3 craps during the day. Good odds at the craps table.... more
Great place to stay and reasonable
For the money you can't beat it. Great rooms. Extremely nice staff. I have stayed on The Strip and downtown at the Nugget and when we return next year we will be staying at The Fitz
OK FOR THE $$$$$
OK for the money. Casino very smokey. Room ok, quiet. mollys buffet not worth the money. Go to the golden nugget for the best buffet.
stay downtown!
I recently spent a week at Fitzgerald's and a week at Harrah's on the strip. I was pleasantly surprised at the great service and employees at Fitzgeralds. The hotel is an older establishment and a bit smaller than some of the casinos but it was clean and the service was great. The downtown area might be older but they know how to treat their guests. In contrast, Harrah's is fancy and modern but the entire week I spent there was very frustrating. There were very few people working the floor and then they were usually in a group chatting and I... more
For the money it's a good deal
On the weekend when all of the hotels on the strip were charging $200+ we were able to stay at the Fitz for $44/night! It's older and quite smokey, but the front desk people were super nice, and our room had a jacuzzi tub. It's on the style of an older Holiday Inn-type room, and not particularly up to date, but doable. Beds are not great. It is also fun to see the older, downtown area, and I think if we had stayed on the strip we would have missed it. Kind of a nice break from the Disney-esque strip.
Great Bang for The Buck
We stayed at Fitzgeralds last year and have reservations again this yeare. Clean reasonable rooms, free shows, friendly staff, Fremont St. Experience, and loose slots. Who could ask for anything more? Also, food was good and reasonably priced.
loved the Fitz!
My husband and I just returned from a GREAT 5 night stay at Fitzgeralds in Las Vegas. We were really surprised to find so many friendly people and employees at the Fitz. The food at the Shamrock cafe was the best we have ever eaten. We didn't care for the buffet at Mollys. We really enjoyed the whole Fremont experience and would love to stay at Fitzgeralds again. We had always stayed on the strip.....but not anymore,it will be Fitzgeralds for us.
Great Value: A Fun Low-Roller Vacation
"The Fitz" offers a warm and festive atmosphere, and it's so easy to navigate, especially compared to those huge places on the Strip. I stayed there from April 4-8 and had a great time. This place offers some great deals, and I was pleased with the condition of the rooms and amenities. The pool is small, but it is very clean and pleasant. I love Downtown Vegas, because it really feels like Vegas is supposed to feel. If you want to spend a few days playing the slots, eating, drinking, and relaxing, this is the place.
Fitz's great bargin!
I just spent 4 days at Fitzgeralds with 3 childhood friends. We got our rooms through Priceline for $50 a night. I found them to be clean and quiet. It was wonderful to enjoy the Fremont experience right out the front door of the hotel. I didn't know if we had made a mistake not staying on the strip but after staying downtown I was happy we did.One thing we weren't happy with was the buffet. One of my friends found a bug in her salad and the staff was rather rude about it, displaying an "All Well" attitude.Would we go back? Heck yes...we are... more
