Distrikt Hotel New York City

A wonderful stay in this beautiful brand new hotel in the middle of midtown. The staff was very helpful and accomodating. The room was very nice....plenty of space to move around. The breakfast room was very nice and served a continental breakfast. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel.

My friends and I stayed here for 2 nights. Location is great, right near times square and Rock. center, Bryant park, Hells Kitchen etc. So if you are sightseeing its a good place to stay. They just opened a few days ago so you could tell they were still getting things completely organized and running smoothly, but I think that's to be expected. The biggest down all and upside to the hotel is its location. Only a half block from the Subway (corner of 8th and 40th), one must walk by DVD shops selling pornography, the Department of Probation, and a lot of construction. It was a little creepy. There are three new hotels in a row all facing the back side of the Port Authority Bus Terminal. The hotels are Four Points, Fairfield Inn, and the Distrikt. I cannot say enough about the wonderful visit that we had for 5 days at the new distrikt hotel. All the staff were very accommodating to our many requests. The rooms were very comfortable and contained the comforts of a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was excellent and the decor was very elegant. The hotel on W. 40th, between 8th and 9th, is well located for walking to the times square area and the broadway shows. Penn station is also just a few blocks away. Will definitely return to this hotel for our next new york stay.

We stayed here from Feb 5,checked out Feb 8th. Front desk staff is very professional . They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Bar/restaurant was not open except for a continental breakfast. We had breakfast elsewhere, so I cannot comment. Room was just the right size for the two of us. I travel for business all the time to NYC and my wife has never been to the big apple so when i finally got some time off work, we booked a room here based on an article i read on the web. WOW! They just opened and they have a few things to work out, but once they do this is a great place to stay if you don't like a lot of fuss but you have high standards on what is important: comfort, friendly and helpful staff, a nice modern yet classy place, and a snug feeling. I got a clean cozy room with one king bed and a view of the Empire State Building - but not all rooms are going to have that view. You have to be quite high, halfway up or more. Fantastic rooms and common areas with a nice European style breakfast buffet. Really enjoyed the helpful staff and the design features. Once they work out the opening week kinks, it will be my favorite hotel at this price point in New York. Liked it better than the W.

I stayed at this beautiful new boutique hotel in NY. In fact, I was the first person to stay in my room!! Modern furnishings, exceptional attention to detail, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. New opening minor problems as they were still trying to make it all happen.
