Dewi Sri Hotel

stay with whole family members here for xmas holiday... i made a reservation long before just for secure that we got a rooms! we booked for 1 family room+2 standard cost about USD 120.00 pernite.. but we got the room which is location far each others!! it was rainy seasons, no umbrella for guest, the roof was licking.. and my bed so damed wet seriously! we move to other room on the last nite we stay.. after request. food was okay, the hotel atmosphere was fine for family holiday.. only need more attention frm the management... more

This hotel is fine and would be most suited to families, people who want to be in the centre of Kuta or first time travellers to Bali. It's clean and safe with a nice family atmosphere. It's nothing special but a good budget choice. As others said the breakfast is pretty basic, but it's fine. We payed one of the hotel workers to look after our son for a few hours while we went out for dinner, which was handy. Nice staff and pool but we wern't impressed with the food. The breakfast in particular lacked variety and everything was laced with hot chilli, great if you are used to spicy food for breakfast but not suitable for most children. Getting a soft boiled egg that didn't have clear egg white was also a hit and miss affair! The TV channels are all Indonesian language but I guess you don't travel to watch television. Definitely a budget hotel and just somewhere to sleep and keep your clothes.

Just back from the 3D2N bali trip over there, I was really impressed by the excellent service of the staffs there. Althought the hotel is not 4 or 5 star hotel, still, the friendliness, the personality service from the staff and the well location really worth for any of you to go and try. Tucked away just off the main street in the heart of Kuta (Legian St.) is this little hidden secret. Far from your typical western chain hotels down the road, the Dewi Sri Cottages distinctly radiates the essence of the Balinese - friendly, laid back, service with a smile. What a great place to stay and what a sobering thought, in all the hustle and bustle of Kuta, walking out on to Legian St every day and passing the monument to those who lost their lives, we are so glad we stayed there. We stayed at the Dewi Sri for 10 days split into two five day blocks as part of a package deal. The family rooms are excellent value with Queen Bed and two singles divided by sliding louvre door. This gives some privacy although noise transfers straight through. Having a TV in each room was superfluous but having two fridges was great. I stayed at the dewi sri cottages in late dec 04 and would reccomend this place to anyone treavelling to bali and staying in kuta. Its in a central location and the beach is a 10 minute stroll. The staff were really freindly as were the guests. This hotel is ideal for anyone, while i was there there was a mix of families, couples and young adult groups. Hi everyone who will be visiting Bali.My family and I with 2 friends[8] went to Bali for 2 weeks and stayed at The Dewi Sri Cottages.We would encourage anyone who is planning a trip,to stay there.The staff were wonderfull,and the family rooms were fantastic.The standard rooms were comfortable,but for 2 people only.We will be staying there again for 3 weeks this time.We loved it and are taking more with us this time.Enjoy your holidays.
