Club Regina Puerto Vallarta

I was a little nervous to go on my 10 day planned vacation to this hotel with my family and friends after reading some of the reviews of the hotel on this site.THEY WERE SO WRONG!!First of all, the service was impeccable. Everyone in the hotel bent over backwards to grant any wish we had.One small example is New Years Eve. A group of us, about 8 people, came in a little tipsy, and very hungry at 4 am. This was by far the worst vacation I have ever experienced. There was non-stop construction commencing with jack hammering at 7:00 a.m. Worse yet, was the constant drone of equipment alongside the "relaxing" pool.To top it off, Westin Regina offered 4 nights of points as compensation, then only processed 2 nights worth. Once you are out of the hotel and the country, they have couldn't care less what they promised.p.s. - The time share leeches are twice as bad. Stay clear of this hotel all together!

I spent 8 nights and 9 days at the Club Regina in Puerto Vallarta; at the Marina. The suite was definitely fantastic! with a lovely terrace with a Jaccuzzi. Marvelous sunsets where seen from there. The food and the attention are superb; with the staff very well prepared. I fully recommend Puerto Vallarta, and the Westin Regina

Highly recommend the Westin Regina in the Marina District for anyone, with or without children. The beach is nothing to get excited about but the pools are! Several interconnected pools that offer sun, shade, games, peace and quiet, swim up bars/food and comfortable areas to lounge around are the best part of the resort. The hotel itself is terrific with most rooms having great views and very comfortable accomodations. The Westin Regina was as good as ever on my 3rd stay with them! This time I booked 16 guests there as well for my wedding. The concierge made all the arrangements for my wedding even though it was off site, and did not charge a penny for all her hard work. (we paid her anyway) My husband and I, along with our friends and family were treated like royalty by all the staff. My family of 7 adults and two grandchildren ages 15 months and 17 months had a wonderful stay at the Westin Club Regina. My daughter and son-in-law own a timeshare at Westin Club Regina in Puerto Vallarta. We got two one bedroom suites, with king beds, also with kitchens that had refrigerators, stove top burners, dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, pots n' pans and dishes. and were very spacious with a jacuzzi spa on our balconies. Well PV, what a place. Comparable to Hawaii, but cheaper. Ok back to the review. Everything you have read so far good or bad is true. The Regina is a very nice place to stay. Nice rooms, good views, great a/c, clean, good service. Just don't leave any fruit unattended. You are going to deal with timeshare folks. At the hotel they are just like anyone else, people on vacation. At the marina and downtown its different. But if you know what you doing you are going to make money. Just returned from PV, stayed at Westin Regina. Pro: Service was quite good. Whenever I called for something (ironing board, washcloths, wine glasses, etc) it arrived promptly. On the otherhand, it was tough to get washcloths daily w/o calling. Bathroom is spacious and nice. Seperate Tub with large walk-in shower. Main room was ok...I have to get past no carpet, I know this is Mexico, but a throw rug would be nice by the bed. We moved to the Westin Regina Resort after our Scuba class in one of the pools of this incredible hotel (from the Flamingo in the Marina--don't ask.) We experienced a VERY attentive staff, beautifully manicured grounds and tons of FUN including 24 hr. roomservice, swim-up bars, shopping, restaurants, and activities. Did we mention the VIEWS? My husband and I just returned from 5 nights at The Westin Regina (then we spent two nights at the Presidente InterContinental). Don't bother with the Presidente. Book yourself the Royal Beach Club floor and you won't regret one second. That really made the hotel, unless you have a bunch of screaming kids...then don't ruin it for the others.
