Affordable, Cozy, B & B
I really loved the fact this this B & B sits right on the nicest beaches in Puerto Vallarta...Los Muertos Beach! The workers here were very hospitable and breakfast every morning was fabulous...none of that continental breakfast. The only negative thing I can say about this place is that the bathrooms could be a little bit cleaner...I didn't walk in the room and bathroom without my sandles..but than again, I paid $25 a night and as I said...the breakfast was FABULOUS! This is a terrific place to stay if you're on a budget!
Love it, the people, the place
We have been to Puerto Vallarta over 15 times, and always have a great vacation. We have enjoyed staying at Casa Corazon over the years and a few of the other hotels on the strip in 'Old Town'. We spent New Year's in Puerto Vallarta this past year and decided to book into Casa Corazon. We were given a room on the top floor, wonderful view, great shower (you can look out at the beach and ocean from it). We love George and Margaret (owners) and they are wonderful hosts at making their guests feel very comfortable. This was probably one of... more
wonderful week
My husband and I had a wonderful week at the Casa Corazon from March 27- April 3 2004. I felt I had to write after reading the review dated April 14, as that person must have check in the night before we left. Granted we were on the top floor which had a wonderful view, a deck shared by two other rooms, very good cieling fan and plenty of fresh air. This is not a luxury hotel, but very clean and nice people. Full breakfast included for only $60. My only complaint is the bed was as hard as a slab of concrete. My other worry is they are... more
checked in - then checked out...
Granted - I wasn't expecting much for $60 - I LOVE Mexico, its people and culture. But, when I checked in to my room at 8:30 at night on April 2, 2004, the room was overly hot. We opened up the windows to let in the natural ocean breezes, but, alas, none were blowing that night in the far South end of town. So, I asked for my money back (received) and trekked a little further North to Old Town and Molina de Agua. Maybe I'll try again....
A little piece of paradice
There is nothing finer than napping mid day with the sound and breeze of the ocean streaming through your room. This place is a little piece of paradise. The morning starts with fresh orange juice, a ripe tomato, good eggs, fresh fruits and coffee. After a lazy morning head to the beach and enjoy the great hospitality that Tony provides at the beach side bar and restaurant. We spent our honeymoon here and brought our kids years later. It is kid friendly.I was amazed both trips to Casa that no air conditioner is no problem. The ocean breeze,... more
Great little bed and breakfast
I spent 5 days at Casa Corazon in 2003. The included breakfast is a filling sit down affair, not a cheezy continental breakfast, and is served on a balcony overlooking the ocean. There is no air conditioning, phones, radios, or alarm clocks in the rooms, but they are comfortable and you can hear the waves crashing on the beach as you fall asleep. Fresh water is provided and the owners are American so you don't have to speak spanish. They also have a cafe on the beach which is great for relaxing at the end of the day and watching the sunset... more
A nice, quiet place to stay
We spent two enjoyable weeks at Casa Corazon in early 2003. The staff are pleasant, they keep the place really clean, and they serve good Mexican breakfasts. There is loud, but very good music (none of this boom, boom stuff!) from a next door hotel between about 8:00 and 11:00. We often sat out on our veranda in the evening and enjoyed the free concert. In the evening the roar and swish of the surf lulled us off to sleep. Our beds were very hard: we had to buy a piece of foam so that my wife could sleep comfortably. Hot water pressure was... more
Loved Casa Corazon
I just completed my 45th visit to Puerto Vallarta and for my Mexico experience I always stay at the Casa Corazon Bed and Breakfast. It is family owned and has only 12 rooms surrounded by huge gardens and is right on the Playa de Los Muertos Beach. It is the only place left on the beach that is not owned by a corportation and is not a high rise or condos. The large verandas on all three floors overlook the ocean. A hearty breakfast is served every morning overlooking the scene. The Casa Corazon is friendly and there is daily maid service... more
Quiet getaway
Quiet, clean. No phone, alarm clock or TV; just listen to the surf crashing below from your balcony. The restaurant below on the beach is EXCELLENT - ask for Tony; the Owner. The resort next door has loud entertainment from 7:30-10:30pm, but hey, it's free! The breakfast on the veranda is included and is OK. I'd definitely return.
loved it!!
Wonderful bed & breakfast hotel with full view of the beach from each terraced level. Private entrance at bottom of hotel property opens onto the street in front of the beach. Hotel property is nicely landscaped and groomed with flowers and fruit bearing trees. Our room was furnished with a ceiling fan and private bathroom. Windows have hinged storm shutters and curtains, and are wrought iron without glass to provide good ocean breeze through rooms - no air conditioner in our room. Good breakfast and secure entrance with very courteous... more
