Blue Cave Castle

This hotel is a nice hotel considering it is on a cliff. Very quite area and the rooms are clean. Staff is very nice and the area is well maintained and I would come back. There is no TV or phone but who needs it when you're trying to enjoy the non city life and not planning to stay inside.

Blue Cave Castle was exactly what I expected after visiting their website and reading personal reviews on tripadvisor. It is a low-key, comfortable site on the decidedly mellow end of Negril. I spent my first few nights in the Tower Lower room where I could hear the waves crashing against the cliff walls while lying in bed day- and night-dreaming. BBC is a great location. The scenery is lovely and the prices are reasonable. The rooms are clean and unique. All the rooms look different and there a good size. The staff is very friendly and they make you feel safe. You dont have to worry about hustlers coming onto the promises because their German Sheperd would scare them off. They dont have a bar or resterant so if you looking for all inclusive this is not the spot. Its also right in the middle of all the action and walking distance from the great local spot 3 Dives. We went to the BCC for our honeymoon last month. We were supposed to stay for 4 nights in the Penthouse. When we arrived, we were not greeted by anyone, given a tour, or made to feel welcome at all. I knew before going that we did not have a/c and that we should bring bug spray. Unfortunately, one can of bug spray was not near enough. Not the Hilton so if that's what you want, go somewhere else. Very cool location on the cliffs. Great coffee every morning (complimentary). Cool grounds to hang out on. Rooms are definitely unique. Each one is different. Very clean. No restaurant or bar on premises but you can buy beverages and keep them in your room fridge. Prices very reasonable. If I don't stay on the beach, I would definitely put Blue Cave on the short list of possible places to stay!!!

My fiance and I stayed here from August 28th to September 4th 2004. It was our first trip to Jamaica and my fiance's first trip out of the country! Before even leaving the US I was able to correspond with them via e-mail, and always received prompt and friendly replies regardless of how ridiculous my questions were. My husdand and I took our first trip to Negril in July 2004. Our son was going to be married in Negril, we new nothing about the place, so on the web we went. This place is not great!! First, there is NO restaurant and NO bar. Yes they have mini-fridges but it's sometimes nice to order a cocktail on vacation. Second, the owner - Bill - is completely over-cautious about swimming. He brings up the ladders any time he sees a white cap in the ocean. Further, he actually ran into us at the store across the street and didn't even tell us he took up the ladders when he SAW us renting snorkles. There went $12 for no reason. We "found" The Blue Cave Castle on the internet. Trust me, this ain't the Hilton Hotel. But, it was the most romantic, most quiet, most Jamaican vacation that I can imagine. It is NOT located on the beach. That means it was quiet. It is not a major resort. That means it was genuine Jamaican. The location was a $5 taxi ride from the beach. If you're looking for an all-inclusive. It's not for you. If you're looking for distant, surley staff, don't stay here. However, if you want to feel at home, comfortable, secure and you have an open mind to local culture....this is your place! We loved our stay, had a blast, found staff helpful and warm...never overbearing ...very respectful of privacy. The castle is GREAT. The view magnificent , the manager oh so helpful and within walking distance, anything you might need. We can't wait for our next visit!!!!
