Beverly Hotel

For a business trip, we chose Beverly because it was highly recommended by an associate working with the media. But from the very start, we had problems. Hotel would not extend any credit facilities with us and demanded 50% up front from the total cost of our business meeting to be held there. The Front Desk was not informed of our arrangement and asked for Misc Deposit from us. we chose this based on the free buffet breakfast they offered. the hotel is very comfortable - rooms were big and clean, bathroom amenities were complete, lobby is quite big with free wifi. the a/c was quite warm but they had a ceiling fan so that somehow made the room cooler. we also had a sofa in our room unlike that of our friends'. buffet breakfast was good! bad thing is it's quite a distance from main attractions and services - about 15-20min which isn't that bad except it's gets too tiring when you've been walking the whole day.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is free wireless broadband access at the lobby. Only very irritating is that they recode the room keys daily. So you got to walk up and down twice if you forgot to ask the receptionist to update your key card! Price is very reasonable for a four star hotel. The set lunch was also very reasonable at USD2.50 or so nett.
