Best Western Hotel Plaza

My wife and I stayed here during our visit to naples in the month of july. For the price we paid, we were more than satisfied with the accomodation and service. The rooms were clean with a modern bathroom and a stocked mini bar. breakfast was expected for a continental breakfast but more then enough to start an early day. If you have to stay in this location and I do not recommend Naples to anyone, the Plaza is an "Oasis" in the middle of chaos. The area is noisy and litter strewn all over the place. Very modern interior and good sized room, located ten minute walk or 6 Euro taxi ride from Naples Rail Station. Desk staff appear off hand at times possibly due to the language problem. Hotel Plaza was the nicest building in the area. It was clean, modern, had a very pleasant and helpful staff and the breakfest was good. The location was great in terms of being close to the train station which worked well for my husband and I since we took a train to Pompeii and then onto Rome. Downside, that part of town is very rough, watch your bags & money! My suggestion (nothing against the hotel), stay in Pompeii or Capri.

We stayed at Hotel Plaza in March 2005 and only could agree wih all earlier positive reviews. For the money paid it was an excellent value. Would very much recommend that hotel! Only the location (near main railway station) isn't that good, but that means also good access to the traffic system, e.g. for trips to Pompeji (30 minutes).

I stayed for 6 nights in late November 2004. This is an enjoyable, small hotel. I got a good rate, which was important while the dollar was spiraling down. The recent renovation was very nicely done…Solid double pane windows and well-made steel shutters opening to the little micro-balconies. The rooms are simple, but pleasant. Dear readers, The location is pathetic as piaza garibaldi is not a place to stay for tourist. it was our first time in naples and we wont visit it again!! The area around the hotel was dirty. Very few people understood english. we had a hard time to find a way to get to sorrento. the hotel staff dint have much information about the city. the rooms were ok. its not a hotel for tourists

After spending 5 days in Rome, where the stay left a lot to be desired, the Hotel Plaza was like an oasis in an Italian desert. True, the staff's command of English wouldn't be suitable for the Queen but their English was much better than my Italian. I stayed at this hotel in September with my wife. My son and his girlfriend stayed also, in another room. The area surrounding the hotel can give reasons for concern as it looks daggy. Then again, we found most of Naples like this. They obviously have no regard for rules, be they traffic rules or otherwise. Hotel and staff excellant but location not good. Breakfast good but would have been safer to have restaurant for evenings as well, Staff very helpfull especially Monica and Anna. Pity hotel unable to arrange trip to Monte Cassino as my father was in British Army and fought there and wished to visit but trains on strike and no other way of reaching there, a big disapointment. Also snacks left in room thought were free but charged at end of stay.

Chose hotel for its location near railway station as we were in Naples for 1 night only. Surroundiings rather reflect this. However, the hotel itself seems fairly recently renovated, the rooms have nice modern furniture. Excellent insulation from street noise. The bathroom was ok, apart from the shower which had seen better days, LARGE towels. Breakfast excellent, ask for a cappucino or espresso though if you care about your coffee.
