this resort is one of the best places i have stayed, we were looking for a quite relaxing holiday and that is what we got, if you are looking for busy nightlife forget it. The entertainment that was provided was poor quality, this may have been because of the amount of holidaymakers in the hotel 300 compared to 750 last year. the food was excellent and the service was first class. my real let down was the accomodation very very tired and more 3 star then 5.we paid extra for superior room and were very disappointed, no walk in shower , towels clean but worn, furnishings well worn, i spoke to a first choice rep in england as ours had not come to resort with us and she had us upgraded to a suite for no extra fee, if the hotel had been full this may not have happened, this is a lovely resort and i strongley recommend it to people wanting a chill out experience however the rooms may let you down. They did tell us they are closing hotel in november for makeover in some rooms so ask for those and you will have a great holiday.

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks, during which time we got married there. The facilities and grounds are fantastic, as is the quality of the hotel. Highly recommended. The only minus point (for some people) is that the hotel is in a quiet area and is about 15min walk to the small Coral Bay strip of bars and restaurants. This is family based entertainment. Paphos is about a 15 min drive and would cater for a more lively night out.
Overall this hotel is definitely deserving of its 5 star status. We spoke to lots of guests who had returned for the past 5 - 10 years.

My family and I spent a week here recently and found it to be an excellent hotel.
I, my husband, and our two children (aged 4 and 7) booked directly through the hotel and stayed in a Garden Suite. The room was superb, very bright, and clean and had all the facilities which we required and more.
We spent most days relaxing by the large swimming pool where we able to order drinks and snacks from the poolside bar. The pool was excellent for both adults and children alike and the views to the sea were spectacular.
We found all of the staff in the hotel to be very accommodating and polite and there was even a children’s club which offered entertainment throughout the day.
We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, but chose to eat in the hotel on most evenings. In the main restaurant, there was a wide selection to choose from and it was simply delicious. We very much enjoyed the different theme nights in the restaurant, in particular the Greek and Oriental.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing get away. The whole experience was truly refreshing.

I would never return to Coral Beach...

Jul 2006, Miss T McNally

I would never return to Coral Beach Resort in Paphos!
The receptionist was impolite and unhelpful. Very unfortunate manner!
The hotel was over-run with conference guests, many of whom were offensive, intimidating, drunk, juvenile and noisy. There were conferences running throughout our 10 day stay. Primarily hairdressers.
Even though we had booked into the Executive Wing and the marketing material promised 'absolute relaxation', I think that I can honestly say it was one of the very worst holidays of my life. Far from relaxing. It was what I imagine an 18-30 Holiday Camp would be like!
The Manager was disinterested in my feedback, and stated that it is a very large hotel and the only way they can run the business is to have these conventions. He was clearly more interested in the business guests as opposed to the holiday guests!
Only Good Point, the Trainee Guest relations lady, Monika, was professional and polite in attempting to rectify issues with the hotel and her colleagues.

We are a young family and have just...

May 2005, Mrs J Rickless

We are a young family and have just returned from the Coral Beach Hotel & Resort (1 – 8 May 05). This is supposedly a 5* hotel but it is really an average 4* hotel at 5* prices. We were really disappointed with the hotel and its location in Paphos. There were only 3 restaurants in the area plus a supermarket. The hotel is expensive to eat in and it is much better going bed & breakfast and eating out of the hotel in Coral Bay, a good 15 minutes hike up a hill or a bus ride into Paphos which takes about 20 minutes.
This hotel is not targeted at young families as the kids club is a token gesture by the hotel which is badly organised and has limited entertainment for the children. The playground area is a plastic slide.
For a 5* hotel the daytime entertainment by the pool is poor i.e. water polo at 4 o’clock every day and the evening entertainment every night was a pianist. Staff are unfriendly.
The hotel lacks atmosphere and style that you would anticipate from a hotel of this category. I would only recommend this hotel if you want a really quiet hotel on the outskirts of Paphos. If you want something a bit more lively do more research than I did and don’t believe everything you read in the holiday brochures!
Taxi from the airport to the hotel is approx 22 cypriot pounds. Cost of eating out is expensive i.e. same as London for pizza/pasta. It's not a cheap holiday!

Cyprus - Paphos nice little town in...

Cyprus - Paphos
nice little town in Cyprus, the smallest town in Cyprus. Great place for families and kids and great place to relax. Many nice spots like the castle if Paphos which is located in the city centre in an old harbour. G-R-E-A-T places to eat especially if you love sea food, or if you love meat you should try the local cuisine.
Paphos is place where you can relax and enjoy you time.
Not many clubs for the night and the life its a little expensive.

Jul 2004, Miss S Cook

For me & my family this is the perfect holiday retreat. In a very quiet undeveloped area, with spacious accommodation. We have visited Corallia in 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004 & back again this year.
Please don’t think we are narrow minded or do not enjoy new experiences, as we have been to Florida many times, Israel, Egypt, LA, Las Vegas, Mainland Spain, Canaries, Ballearics, Greece & so on, we have also stayed in different Cypriot resorts and Hotels. But for us this is the ultimate place for us all to relax and unwind.
It's not a five star gourmet experience, its just quiet and peaceful, but with the option of a frequent bus service right next to the hotel to take your down to the Harbour at Paphos or the resort area just before that, where you can go Bowling & visit 'the CO-OP'. Great for stocking up on cheap Booze and soft drinks.
The staff here have always been very friendly, it is a great family run establishment. My partner was taken ill last year in Cyprus and Anthi the general manager was so helpful. I now just email her direct each year to arrange my booking.
I would say that this apartment is probably more suited to those with older children or couples that have given up frantic clubbing, though that’s not to say you can't find that, if you hop on the bus for about a 20 min ride.

Very nice hotel, the food was amazing - choice of several different restaurants and quality and service were excellent. The hotel is big but it doesn’t really feel like it when you are there, the pool is nice and there is a beach bar serving lunch /drinks next to pool. Location was good for us, right on beach and very quiet area - but if you are looking for nightlife this is not the place to go.

Nov 2002, Teri

What fantastic resort, they speak fab English and they really couldn’t do enough for you, the resort was a magical dream, it was beautiful, only thing was it was so posh that people were snobby, but you don’t go on holiday for the other guest do you, highly recommended.
If you’re pregnant and looking to go there its fab, I went into labour and the hotel would pick up and drop my husband off free of charge, and even prepared meals for him in the room whilst I was in hospital, so he didn’t eat alone.
