We also wish we could offer larger rooms at these prices, but space is at a premium in prime areas like Kensington. Our air conditioned rooms come in a range of room sizes, and we've had guests stay happily in single rooms for over a month, even when they were offered larger rooms. So we agree that it's a question of personal preference as to what is satisfactory for a longer stay. We considered installing WiFi (the wiring is already there), but settled on Ethernet cabling as this provides better security for VPN circuits. In addition, in a converted Victorian townhouse with thick walls everywhere, we felt the uncertainty of guaranteeing a strong signal in each room was a disadvantage. We are however re-examining the question and may add WiFi if it can be done satisfactorily.

Whilst I am pleased that the guests enjoyed their stay, I have looked into this booking to determine whether there was an issue. The larger rooms were indeed upgrades, whilst the smaller room was the double room category originally booked. The category below doubles are single rooms. Had the guest been in a single, it would have been very clear! Had we had sufficient availability to upgrade all of this party, we would have been pleased to have done so, so I hope thay will understand.
