Experience at AlamKulkul
I booked your hotel thru you hotel website. I had many choices eg Sheraton and Ayodhaya .( US $100-150). However, I kept going back to your site because it looked very traditional and nature friendly and looked very "Balinese". I am here on a 5 day vacation with my 70 year old mother. I know that I will not be able to do too many activites - so I needed a hotel that had a gym and jacuzzi . However yours does not have but I still went ahead and booked your hotel because it had a very friendly and warm look and that is what I wanted to... more
Beautiful boutique hotel
We are a young German / Indonesian couple and stayed with our 9 months old daughter for one week at AlamKulkul. We traveled Indonesia (Java and Bali) the whole months of December and stayed in quite a few hotels on our trip and the AlamKulkul was really one of the nicest. We choose AlamKulkul for the time we wanted stay in the Kuta / Legian area because of its very convenient location in the middle of the Kuta – Legian – Seminyak stretch directly at the beach. We were keen to stay in a smaller boutique hotel that does not cooperate with... more
a great place to relax
Loved this hotel! Friedly and very helpful staff! We ate in the restaraunt and found the food and the service very nice. The spa is expensive. It is a good place and the staff are excellent.
Fantastico!
I stayed with a friend at Alam Kul Kul and it was fantastic, very very nice! First of all the staff was very very friendly and ready to solve any little problem or to satisfy any request. Our room was spacious, very clean and it had direct access to the pool garden, perfect for sunbathing. The breakfast was very rich, with a big choice of foods and drinks and everything was of a very good quality. We liked the location as well, because it's just in front of the beach, it's at walking distance to everything in Kuta and... more
Over-rated and Over-priced
OK, I guess I can actually say two positives about this place. The food is pretty good - - both breakfast and dinner were pretty good. Also, the location is pretty good - - it is on the Northern side of the busy beach - - around the hotel is quite quiet, but a quick walk down to the mayhem at the main part of the beach. But, in terms of positive things to say, that’s about it. The first room they put us in was at the very back –absolutely no view, mosquito-infested, and worn, run-down, and dirty. I had written about 20-30 specific... more
Love this hotel/resort.
We really liked this hotel. Across the street is the beach and it's fairly easy walking to lots and lots of shopping. We stayed at this hotel for a total of 3 nights. The staff was really friendly too and helpful. We did have a problem with the A/C but had an engineer in the room in just a short while after complaining. When the engineer could not understand us, he got another person to help understand the problem. They got it fixed the first time. I suspect that the evaporation drain had gotten clogged and only needed to be cleared.... more
Loved it!
We actually stayed here in Oct 2001 , sorry for any confusion but it wouldn't let me set that year. Anyway...... We stayed here for 6 nights and loved it. We ate breakfast, lunch (by the pool) and dinner here every night, we never had a bad meal, all were excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly and I honsetly couldn't find fault with our stay. If I were to come to Bali again, this is where I would stay, the only thing I would do differently is maybe stay in one of the villa's (which they happily let me... more
LOVED IT!!!
This hotel was excellent, service, cleanliness, food, the staff, location, everything was 10/10, there were no problems at all. Loved it and will definately stay here again.
great !
first, the hotel is very well located : just in front of the main kuta beach, 200 meters after the hard rock hotel. then the hotel is very nice. the accomodations and services are excellent. the rooms are very well decorated and clean. by example, there is a 24h service for safety box. the decoration of the hotel is very nice and charming. we were in a standard room overlooking the 2nd pool (yes ! there are 2 pools ! even if the 2nd one is smaller but so charming). i really appreciate the comfort of this hotel which is comparable to the best... more
This is a great Legian Boutique hotel. The equal of the Padma
We are experienced travellers to Bali and have been there six times. We rank this hotel higher than the Bali Padma at Legian which is also a beautiful hotel and we stayed at the Padma twice as well. The Kul Kul is a smaller boutique style hotel. Staff are very very good, and the hotel recently won an award for its service . It is directly opposite the Beach. Surf the web for a direct link to the resort which shows rooms and layouts. Kuta can be frenetic so what is the balance? Legian gives you quick access and is just far... more
