W Barcelona

Loved this hotel it is amazing - i have stayed in many W hotels and this has to be the best. W thru and thru, the rooms, the feel, the pools, the food, drinks and club/bar on the top floor. Just the type of hotel Barcelona needed!

Stayed there for 3 days and found it an interesting experience. Though it is great inside, outside it looks too much like Burj Al Arab in Dubai and it is not a compliment... Interior design is superb, loved the rooms. Location could be better, though land is very expenive and I suppose it was the best spot on he beach they could get. A bit pricey, too.

Located by the Ocean, a stunning view, beautiful trendy new modern design, cool and comfortable atmosphere, spectactular service, beautiful people, excellent food. although they just opened higher standard than elsewhere. A must! The best in Barcelona!

We arrived here with our daughter, who thought the hotel was just fantastic and therefore the experience for all of us was basically very good. There's a lot to be said for having an enthusiastic teenage supporter. Let's see. The views are fantastic. The rooms look fantastic too. They aren't that practical: where are the coathooks? We stayed in the W for 4nts prior to a cruise. Checkin was before noon and the hotel had a room ready for us ( wonderful room - with great views over the harbour ) The hotel is stunning with some work still ongoing. The location is slightly out of the way but the bus stop is right outside the hotel which is very cheap and quick into the ramblas. My partner and I spent last weekend at this hotel and all we can say is that it was a marvellous experience. There is no doubt that this is the kind of hotel that a city like Barcelona needed. Being from Barcelona we have been very attracted by it since the day they started to build it. It is located right by the sea at the Barceloneta neighbourhood. The new W hotel had only opened a week before we arrived so it was brand spanking new... Its a stunning hotel, a bit like the Burj in Dubai - looks like a sail, its set at the end of the beach in the Barcelonetta area of Barcelona. The view is unparallelled from all aspects of the hotel - the views from the rooms are floor to ceiling and of the sea, beach and the city - you don't need to look at your TV, you can just look out your window and the beds are facing the view... If you arrive in Barcelona, and go to the new W Hotel, you probably expect glamour and fantastic architecture. After all you are in Barcelona. Instead when you arrive, you find yourself in the middle of a badly recovered neighborhood of Barcelona, where people are less than glamorous and the security at the door rivals that of a lost prison in ghost town. Amazing hotel, nice rooms as w style. Restaurant and bar with a very nice selection of drinks & food. Staff very professional. ery safe hotel. Lot´s of securities.

Stayed here on the opening night and night after. The location is great for views of the Mediterranean and Barcelona. On one side you see the sea and city, on the other the port where the cruise liners berth and also a view out on the Med. A lot of construction still going on in direct proximity. There is a public beach right next to it that the locals use. Check in and check out were both 15 minute waiting times however staff were very courteous.
