Vinpearl Resort & Spa

we stayed at the vinpearl resort nha trang vietnam for 3 nights the sea view room was fantastic,huge pool,nice buffet,impecable service and staff,a truly sofitel 5 stars hotel.

This hotel has wonderful facilities and great staff. The rooms are fantastic as are the pools and private beach. It is very secluded and, given that it’s a resort, it is surprisingly easy to find a spot either by the pools (which are massive) or the beach away from everyone else. Its downside is that, due to its seclusion, you have little choice but to eat and drink there unless you go to the mainland during the day. The hotel naturally takes advantage of this and it is pricey by western hotel standards in Vietnam.

We were so pleased with the stay at the Vin Pearl Resort. To my surprise, the resort is on a private island. It was a trek to get there -- from HCMC, we took a flight ot Nha Trang; then it was about a 45 min cab ride from the airport to the hotel reception on the mainland. At the reception area, we were given some refreshments and waited for the next speedboat to take us over to the island. It was s short ride followed by another 3 min tram ride to the actual resort. I'm a resident of HCM City, and had heard a number of mixed feelings towards staying at the Vinpearl but when family came to visit, and with first choose not being available we decided to try it. I also thought it should have improved since Sofitel Management has not long taken over, at that point it was worth the risk. I was treated very badly by the management staff and I'm planning to send a letter of complaint to Accor Group and Hon Tre Trade & Tourism. I booked three deluxe beachfront rooms for me and my extended family from July 4 - July 6. My Mom and I were not taken to our room by hotel staff but were just handed a room key. We found the room to be hot and stuffy but we didn't stay inside long enough for me to figure out the problem. This hotel has a surprisingly beautiful beach. Not sure if it would have been the same with the one in Ana Mandara. Located on a small island opposite to Nha Trang, this place is full of serenity. That's what we were there for. Food was nice and reasonable. Restaurants are quite well located, but a shame that none of the spots was able to offer a sunset view. This hotel is in a beautiful island setting in the Nha Trang Bay. Access is by speed boat (7 minutes) which runs very efficiently every 30 minutes, 24/7. From arrival at the mainland terminal until departure 6 days later the vasy majority of the staff were pleasant and helpful if not always as friendly as in other hotels in Vietnam. After the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh, the Vinpearl resort was a much needed retreat with relaxing surroundings and attentive staff. This is the ideal place if you want to get away from it all, although bear in mind, due to its secluded location, there is a 5min bus ride from the hotel, a 7min speedboat ride plus a short taxi ride to get into Nha Trang town. Being an advantage plus member helps, as this Hotel is managed by Sofitel you get your discounts. We had a beach front bungalow(don't tell anyone)with a large porch and sitting area away from the main Hotel Bldg over looking the ocean and the huge pool. The Hotel is very comfortable and clean, the food fabulous. My wife and I returned to the Vin Pearl exactly one year latter after staying there last year in September. We found new management and new owners. The breakfast and evening bufffets were not as good as last year. The grounds had some garbage around the pool and on the beach. This year there were many flys attacking our food around the pool and on the beach. We were disapointed that we could not have a local vietnamese friend join us for lunch without a very big hassle.
