Victoria Hotel

Nice hotel in the middle of everything happening. Rooms spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful staff. Everything works and everything in order. Will go there again.

We stayed here during the low season (first part of March 2007) and were some of the only people in the hotel. The location is perfect for touring Taormina. It's on the main street (a pedestrian-only street) in town with all of the shopping, restaurants, etc within a 5 minute walk either direction. The hotel is simple and the rooms are small. The bathrooms are extremely tight but are B+ or A- when it comes to cleanliness so that was fine by us. The rooms were kind of poorly lit and the bedspreads looked a little tired. Perfectly located on Corso Umberto for sightseeing and shopping. The building and common areas are gorgeous, but the rooms are a bit on the spartan side. Breakast not bad but nothing special. Mattress comfort was a bit below expectations but nothing intolerable. Just returned from a week staying at the Hotel Victoria with my other half. After a long journey travelling to Sicily as a result of the plane being delayed by several hours we arrived at the hotel extremely tired. We were given a large, clean, comfortable room. The only thing which let it down slightly was that our bathroom was in need of a bit of a refurb. However, it was spotlessly clean so we didn't have any real complaints. We have just returned from a splendid week in Taormina and stayed at the Victoria Hotel - such a warm atmosphere! Wonderful family, very helpful, ideal when travelling with kids. It has been a home away from home rather than a hotel. The hotel is very clean and affordable. Keep it up.

Prime location in the middle of Corso Umberto. Small but very clean. The rates are excellent as well the behaviour of the staff of this family run hotel. Will surely return. Alla prossima.

I visited Taormina for the first time last year and, travelling on my own, was relieved to find such friendliness and courtesy of the Sicilian people. The staff at the Victoria Hotel were superb and so helpful and attentive. I had been warned not to expect huge extravagant rooms in Italy, but the Victoria was just right and so conveniently located on the main Corso I could watch the parades from my window. Very nice hotel considering the fact it is a 2 star hotel. Clean and refurbished rooms. The staff was very nice and location in the center of Taormina was perfect. The only downside was some noise from the street outside but in no way unbearable. For the price you can't go wrong.

Being going to Sicily since 1995 stayed at hotel Victoria 3 times. First time was in need of revamping,but loved the feel of the hotel, has lots of history, and the people who own the hotel had just got it back and are great people. The second time it was in the middle of reno, but stayed in a new room and loved it! The last time the hotel was all finished, with double glazed windows for noise reduction, air con, new bathrooms, looking great!! First, I should say that the hotel staff were quite charming, friendly, and welcoming. Located in the very heart of Taormina, it would be hard to find someplace more convenient. Although the bathroom could use some work (our hand-held shower head was damaged but still useable), the room was clean and pleasant. The double paned windows completely eliminated noise from the street below. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the staff could have been more specific about the parking situation.
