The Tubkaak Krabi Boutique Resort

The Tubkaak is perhaps the nicest hotel I have stayed in. I spent 5 days there in March and have been itching to return ever since. The staff are excellent, the best I have ever encountered. The food is superb and the surroundings are beautiful, perfect for relaxing. You can do exursions from the hotel but it is very hard to leave. The spa is excellent. All in all if you want to chill out and do very little except read, swim and eat great food don't bother booking anywhere else this is the place to go.

Tubkaak is paradise. If it's a romantic holiday you're looking for, don't even think of booking in anywhere else. My partner and I spent our entire weekend exclaiming over the magnificent attention to detail, the wonderful staff, and the sheer beauty of the resort. I have never written a review before but I told myself I needed to do this absolute paradise on earth justice and write one.

This was a very special holiday all around. We had the most relaxing time at this intimate, friendly and beautiful resort. We stayed in a deluxe room with a lovely balcony. To be honest we spent little time in it - the grounds and beach were so lovely. The food is excellent at the resort - if a bit pricey by thai standards. That is to be expected of course. We stayed at the Tubkaak for 7 nights with our two children aged 6 and 2, in january 2006. The staff were a little worried that our kids would be bored, as it mainly caters for couples, but the resort was excellent, and we all had a great time. The children were quite happy playing on the beautiful beach and 'round the pool. We took them to the elephant camp one day, and to the islands one day. The dvd player in the room kept them happy. My husband and I, and 3 friends were visiting North of Thailand and Bangkok during one week in November 2005. The next week was booked in Tubkaak Hotel in Krabi. After visiting Bangkok, it is a little bit disconcerted to arrive to Tubkaak Resort. Bangkok is so noisy and so polluted ... Tubkaak is so quiet and so pure ! One thing cannot change from North to South of Thailand : smile and kindness of Thaï people. But when you arrive to Tubkaak resort it is seems to be a big familly. this hotel surpassed our expectations.We felt we were looked after by the wonderful staff as though we were personal guests. Many hotels aim to give this impression but I have never stayed anywhere that has achieved it with such success. The hotel is small but the standard is very high.no nightlife at all which was what we wanted but may not suit everyone. i heard there was a wedding on the beach after we went - this would be just amazing - it is such a romantic wonderful place.

I stayed at the seaview villa in early March for 4 nights and I find this resort very secluded and quiet. The seaview villa is definitely worth the little extra after comparing it to the deluxe rooms (I paid only USD38 more per nite). I cannot rate this resort highly enough, the journey from the Airport was a little off putting as you negotiate your way through a new development being built a mile or so up the road. It is worth the wait as you arrive at a superb destination and are greeted by some of the best staff I have ever encountered. We went on a 10 year marriage anniversary trip to the Tubkaak and were really delighted by the reception , kindness of the staff and the magnificent food. Allthough we arrived very late (10.00pm ) and the restaurant was empty and being cleaned , we still received an excellent meal . My wife and I have just returned from Krabi. We stayed at the Nakamanda for 5 nights and the Tubkaak for a further 5 nights and then a couple days in Bangkok for a bit of shopping before flying back to the UK. I must say this is one of the best holidays we've had. We've been to Thailand before (Tongsai Bay at Koh Samui) but didnt think anything can beat that. The Nakamanda is an absolute gem.
