The Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur

My friend and his family (couple with 4 teenager children) stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on 13 to 14th Dec 2009. They booked the 2 bedroom serviced apartment. What a pleasant surprise when we first walked into the room, very spacious with good lighting and elegant. We have asked for 2 extra bed and they were ready in the rooms when we checked in. We stayed recently over a very busy weekend for the Royale Chulan in a 2 bedroom apartments. The apartments are 5 star apartment standard not 5 star hotel standard. They are not luxurious but are large and spacious. This new hotel in KL is conveniently located in the city centre of KL with easy access to downtown business district (KLCC / Convention Center) , as well as to shopping and entertainment facilities. Both public hotel areas as well as guest rooms feature typical malay architecture and are generously designed with lot of space for the individual traveller. From the moment their limo picked me up at the airport to the MANY friendly greetings as I entered the hotel, it was first class all the way. The attention to detail and the high quality of the food is superb. This property is one of the best in Asia and certainly the best in KL. It is a MUST STAY to experience it property.

I have just returned home after a very pleasant 6 night stay in this magnificent hotel. I loved it all esp. the free wifi in most of the public areas. The staff were incredible, breakfasts, well every morning I had smoked salmon with my eggs for my first course, a blue cheese and tropical fruit plate, followed by pancakes and danish pastries!!!!

We booked this hotel on recommendation from a friend and were a bit hesitant as we are stall-wart Marriot/Hilton/chain hotel stayers, our hesitations were heightened when we jumped in a taxi and the driver didnt know the hotel! However, with help from his GPS we found the hotel and were not disappointed! Stayed at this hotel because Novotel, where we booked, had a problem with check in system. They kindly send us at the same price at this wonderful new 5 stars hotel. The hotel is very new and prices are in offer (50% of the normal price) Hotel style is a bit "arabian", very luxury but not in european style. Anyway very elegant and wonderful lobby, incredible breakfast buffet with all you can imagine and beyond, from sushi to noodles... We arrived very late from London so we tried service room: great! My wife and I had the chance to visit again Kuala Lumpur this August and decided to stay at the newly opened Royale Chulan Hotel. I suggest business and tourist travelers to stay there and enjoy the Real Malaysian Hospitality in a Real Malaysian Style Ambiance and Atmosphere. Of all the modern hotels in which we have found ourselves during our extremely peripatetic lives, few are as memorable as that which we have recently enjoyed in Kuala Lumpur. So new that one or two taxi drivers didn't even know of it. But when they got us there, their eyes were as big as saucers and their smiles betrayed them. The newly-built and very recently opened Royale Chulan Hotel is an absolute must for anyone planning on spending time in KL. It is truly magnificent; the staff are wonderful and could not be more helpful if they tried. Everyone from concierge to reception to housekeeping have been trained to perfection. The rooms are very large, and have the latest flat-screen televisions, massive bathrooms and very comfortable beds. I really couldn't fault this hotel. Excellent value for money.
