If you have not been to Turks and Caicos, it is an island under construction. So, outside of the hotel, there is nothing. The other thing we learned is that once May hits, the heat and sun are intense, and the mosquitoes are just vicious- no fault to The Palms- they actually have OFF all over the place for guests. The Palms is a 5 Star resort, but not 5 Star deluxe. It certainly is NOT the next Sandy Lane. We had a great experience with the service- outside of the one woman who greeted us, but never followed up on some things....

Close but not Five Star....Yet
from steve-o
I recently returned from a week at the Palms and overall had a great stay. We stayed in luxury suite (the cheapest of all the rooms). The room was nice for the time we spent in it. Satellite TV, high speed internet access, iPod docking station, VERY comfortably linens and a small porch facing the back of the building. The grounds of the hotel are top notch. Marble floors throughout and lush grounds with colorful flowers. The pool area is one of the nicest I have seen. A swim up bar/restaurant was a good place to chill in...

Perfection at The Palms
from A TripAdvisor Member
We just returned from our fabulously relaxing trip to T&C for Memorial weekend! We arrived at 1:00pm (not even 10 minutes from the airport in a nice, clean shuttle) and were greeted by smiles and drinks, and then escorted right away to our room where we were checked-in. Quick, easy, and included a tour of the grounds. We stayed in an oceanfront suite which was very spacious, elegantly appointed in marble and granite, two balconies, and best of all steps away from the powdered sand. It included a full kitchen equipped with s/s viking...

Very Nice.... too expensive!
from JMFG
We stayed at the Palms for 9 nights for our honeymoon, returning early May. We were in the deluxe room, which is a typical hotel style room. I wrongly assumed that all rooms were suites and contained kitchens, ect. The room was very nice, nothing extraordinary. The AC was brutal, it was either 50 degrees of cold air blowing directly on the bed or we turned it off and steamed. We finally hung a towel over the vent and alleviated the problem. The resort in general is lovely. Our major complaint was the President's Club meeting that...

Not ready for prime time...
from zakk429
The Palms is a brand new (expensive) resort an increasingly crowded (though very pretty) beach on the NE side of Providenciales in the Turks. The hideous begins with: 6 hour check in, no available adjoining rooms for our 5 person family, forced 6 am wake up call to "reserve" beach/pool chairs (with magazines, books, etc) at the crowded pool, and full construction mode for the up and coming hotel next door which was very noisy. Also, we had to beg the staff to clean our rooms before 7pm (they literally did not have keys to the room). Senior...

After review-provoked angst, we loved the Palms!
from spafreak
Just returned from T&C and fell in love with the Palms Resort. A little background... The Resort Saga: We knew we wanted to go the T&C. (The powder sugar beaches, the crystal blue water) but we had trouble deciding where to stay. We travel a lot and rely heavily on tripadvisor for opinions and advice... particularly on this trip since we found very little travel literature on T&C. We chose the Palms initially for several reasons: 1. Its website and acclaim in the press, (i.e. New York Times Article) 2. The...

Great Place!
from A TripAdvisor Member
I did not read any of the reviews here before my recent stay at The Palms, but I have to say that each of the posters seems to make a legitimate point. The resort is magnificent in its design, layout, rooms, restaurant, facilities, etc. Yes, the service does need some work, but overall the experience was very good. Staff were very nice once engaged. I stayed in a 3-bedroom beach-front penthouse suite with my family and was absolutely pampered. The outdoor shower was heavenly, as was the view. I especially liked the touch of the...

The Palms

We just returned April 16 from a 5 day stay at The Palms...overall, it was very nice. I would recommend that you insist that your room not overlook the construction of the new properties on both sides. We had a very nice Ocean view room and rarely heard the construction at all. Basically, I felt that the areas of check in, restaurant and Spa were much classier than the accomadations themselves. Those areas were reminisicent of Cap Juluca in Anquilla, but that was as far as it went. The rooms were very nice, like a very above average...

Palms is fabulous!!
from timjax9
Not much I can add to previous review. Noticed some negative comments as we were getting ready to come down and was a bit worried. NOTHING to be concerned about! Resort is wonderful and staff is great although still getting the kinks out. Have added a few more photos of pool area including the beautiful infinity pool. Fitness center is nice, continental breakfast which is included is wonderful. Restaurant is quite expensive but beautiful.
We will be going back - Thanks Palms!

The Palms opened in February 2006. The Palms is a luxury hotel consisting mainly of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom suites with ‘lock out bedrooms’ for those that do not wish to have the facilities of a suite. It is situated in the centre of Grace bay and centrally located for shops and restaurants. We had a wonderful and relaxing time at the resort. The common areas did not appear crowded even though we believe the resort was full at the time. This is probably as a result of it being mainly suites rather than bedrooms. <br...
