Sunrise Nha Trang Beach Hotel & Spa

This hotel was the best place i have ever stayed in. From the minute we were collected at the airport, we felt like VIP's. We didn't have to lift a finger, they collected our luggage while they sat us in airconditioned car with water and cold face towel. When we arrived at hotel, we sat in the lounge while they booked us in and gave us fresh juice while we waited. The pool are was great and had excellect pool side snacks and drinks. This hotel is advertised as a 5 star resort. However, even compared to other 5 star hotels in Vietnam, it hardly compares. Now Nha Trang itself does not have the beautiful beach of other areas. I would recommend Mui Ne over Nha Trang any day. The outside of the hotel is quite impressive and well appointed and the staff are very friendly, but the rooms are dingy and look worn despite not being very old. The facility was first class all the way. The staff was friendly and accomidations were 5 Star. It was great for all catagories of traveler. The tour desk provided excellent service.

This hotel was fantastic, location wise it is right on the main strip and there are dozens of restaurants to choose from all along the beach and the main road. The beach area of Nha Trang is about 30mins coastal drive from the airport. Veranda restaurant is a great cafe, exceptionally clean, serving cheap western and vietnamese food not too far from the hotel and the Sailing Club is absolutely beautiful, serving Italian food, with tables set out among the landscaped gardens, fountains and beachside - superb! As a beach resort I personally didn't enjoy Nha Trang that much, Thailand is definitely the place for amazing sun and sand. That said, the trip was still an amazing one because of the Sunrise; a very polished hotel which served up a great breakfast spread and boasts rooms with stunning views of the South China Sea - the one we stayed in had a HUGE jacuzzi on the balcony (if you're going as a couple PLEASE don't think twice and get this room). Enjoyed the spa as well although it is a little on the pricey side.

We (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed here for 1 week in Jan 07. We found the hotel absolutely oustanding. The rooms were spacious, clean, modern, bright and had excellent views. The beds were very comfortable and there was free broadband internet in the room (wifi). The 3 restaraunts were all excellent with great, fast, friendly service, delicious food, very clean and good value. Although slightly more expensive than some others, well worth it. I stayed at the Sunrise four days in November 2006. Very very nice hotel with a great staff. My room had a balony that overlooked the ocean which was a great place to sit and relax after touring all day. The hotel was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The guest relations staff was very helpful, informative and friendly, especially Miss Hang, Miss Van and Miss Anna (a young Russian lady). We arrived at the Sunrise in May 06 and were impressed by the set up and cleanliness of the hotel. Whilst the staff made us very welcome and the room (and view) was beautiful, the hotel really didn't have much atmosphere or (feel) to it. It didn't help that for the first few hours of wandering the corridors looking around, we didn't see a single person; staff or guest. This is truly a 5-star hotel with excellent guest services, large well furnished rooms and a stunning pool. The breakfast buffet is by far the best I have ever experienced and is included with the room. Regardless if you are entering or leaving the hotel there is always someone opening the door for you. I was impressed with this hotel and recommend it.

We booked Sunrise Hotel thinking it would be, as advertised, a five-star hotel. As other posters noted, stars come very easily in Vietnam. First, the good stuff: The breakfast buffet is outstanding - lots of food and variety. We ate there every morning (breakfast came free with our reservation). The hotel is also conveniently located and you can walk to a bunch of restaurants, etc. (but expect to take a cab to some other popular joints such as the Sailing club, Louisian, etc.).
