Soho Hotel

Have just returned from a two nights stay at this great hotel. Arrived 8 pm, got a very warm welcome from staff at reception desk. Chech in was very quick and we got our room key, looking forward to our room after a long day of working in Copenhagen and flying off to Barcelona. But when we entered the room there was someone else living in it! Down to reception again - lots of apologies, and we were given another room on the 7.th floor. We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights end of June. All hotel reception staff fantastic particularly Oliver who could not have been more helpful. The rooms were very clean, modern and Funky - we could not find any faults. There is a bakers/cafe opposite which is very cheap and exellent quality if you just want a coffee and some croissants etc. The roof top area is brilliant the pool is very small and very shallow - probably only about 3 - 4 feet deep but nice to cool off in. This is a lovely hotel in a great location, but whatever you do, make sure you book through the hotel's own website because hotels.com charged us an extra $90 per night for booking through them. A big mistake on our part, which dampened what was otherwise an excellent stay. The staff are really helpful and the rooftop pool terrace is lovely.

Well situated in the L'Eixample area in Barcelona, Soho Hotel is a property with a modern design. The hotel is easy to find, located right on one of the main thoroughfares in Barcelona. From the hotel, you have easy access to the Metro (one stop is 100 meters away), bus service is just up the street and to cabs (don't choose this option). You can also hoof it to areas such as Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter (each about 10-15 minute walk). The rooms are about average size and have all the normal amenities. Stayed at the Soho in Barcelona for 3 nights in May. Soho is a 10 minute walk from Las Ramblas and right next to the Urgell Metro stop which makes it ideal for getting anywhere in the city, but still far enough away to avoid the crowds. From the airport, just buy a T-10 card from the ticket machines at the train station (a 5 minute walk from the terminal), get the train to Sants station and change on to the Metro to get to Urgell in 40-50mins. You get 10 journeys for 6/7 euros which is much better value than paying for single journeys.... more

Stayed here in Jan 07, present to myself for my 21st Bday. couldn’t believe my luck when i rolled up to the outside with my trolley dolly case and mum in tow. arrived way to early for checking, but the staff accommodated us in any event and we got our room over looking the street (which was the only downside, as the traffic never gives up). hotel is modern and has a button for everything, although it took us a while to figure out the shower blinds. toiletries provided really helped as my mum forgot her toothbrush. <br... more

Arrived late at the Hotel Soho after a long delay, and was welcomed warmly by Alessio. He was very helpful throughout our stay at Hotel Soho - he even noticed it was my husband's birthday the previous day from his passport. What a lovely touch! Short but sweet....we went on the Easter weekend so Barcelona was not exactly happening but we enjoyed it all the same. Olivier at the reception was exceptionally helpful and made our stay very comfortable. Our room was peaceful, very clean and funky. Location close enough without being right on top of everything. All in all great value and I would stay again.

Hotel Soho in Barcelona is really cool! My boyfriend and I stayed there from March 29th - April 2nd. Completely agree with the previous reviewer -loved the hotel, really funky decor and lighting, breakfast was delicious, staff very helpful (only downside - we faced an inner courtyard, so didn't have much natural light). Wish it had been warmer as pool and roof terrace were lovely.
