how to begin ????? it's an amazing hotel i've never been. when you arrived you have a welcome drink and all the formalities of chek-in are done by the staff. You only have to wait for your key room and to be directed to it by the staff. Alle the rooms have a ocen sea view. They all have a balcony and you have a welcome fuit plate in your room. Our last minute booking for this Sofitel was truly a bliss. The lobby of the hotel is magnificent with colonial style. And our room with sea view was lovely, costing only USD$156. It was a romantic get away for us so we were happily staying in the hotel most of the time, didn't mind the distance to Ao Nang. We stayed at the Sofitel Krabi at the end of our Thailand holiday. The hotel is OUTSTANDING. Everything about the hotel is 5 star. It's brand new. It's directly opposite an unspoilt beach (you have to cross a very quiet road). The hotel features the largest swimming pool in Thailand. It has a swim-up bar. I have spent 7 nights in this hotel and apart from a couple of minor details, I can say it's one of the best hotels I've stayed at. Upon arrival the receptionists welcome you with cooling towels and drinks, making the check-in experience very pleasant (we didn't see the desk at all, they offer you seats right away in the impressive lobby). Very classy hotel from martyDubai
We were booked in to stay at another hotel along with our friends but there was a booking mistake, mine I think. So we went to a local agent and got a very good rate to stay at this property. On arrival I thought how very classy the whole complex looked.The reception area was huge and the staff very friendly. My husband and I stayed here for 5 days on our return journey from the UK. What a beautiful place to stay and get some rest and relaxation. Stayed in low season so the resort was fairly empty. The suite was lovely and the staff were very helpful. Swimup poolbar was great. Yes it is a bit out of the way but it is not really a hardship - just get a taxi. Best pool ever. I just got back from a holiday from Sofitel Krabi in mid-Apr 07 and enjoyed my stay there. The resort is spanking new and construction has completed. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and offers a good view of the the pool and the sea beyond. The highlight of the resort is its free form pool which is simply awesome! We went to Krabi for the new years 2006 with my wife and two children. i think this was one of the best holidays i ever had. everything was perfect ambience, food, location and rooms....awesome....!!!! words fail me.....!!!! The unfinished sections of the hotel were a little problem at my time staying, there were a few unfinished wings and the kids amenities were not complete including playstation area which a staff member kindly directed my to young kids too for play not knowing the area did not exist as yet.
