The Azia is an excellent hotel. The facilities are great and the service sweet and efficient. The style and design fantastic...relaxed yet very comfy and spoiling. The spa is exceptional! If all things in life could be as good as this. This hotel offers amazing value for money and lots of space, and grounds to relax and return home with an amazing feeling of newly found energy. We cannot recommend it highly enough! While we were there there were 3 more couples (at least) who returned to the azia more than once....
To give you more detials..
Well first there are all those small things that you would expect from a five star hotel namely nice waffle robes, great quality in room soaps and shampoos, the interesting interior design, the porters, the helpful receptionists etc.
The spa was extra good. We have travelled to many five star hotels all round the world, and this spa, is a little treasure chest..
The pool area has fantastic views and so much space under the palmtrees. Now I am sure some people prefer more crowded, social pools, but the Azia has enough space to avoid everything if you wish too (including every noise from other people's children) or return to the pool bar and mix if you get bored. The food is fresh, tasty yet simple.
The sunsets divine , each day. The lobby is really one of the most beautiful lobbys in any five star hotel worldwide. Again it is full of loungy furniture and lots of green plants.
The style of the hotel is very informal, but very stylish. No arrogant waiters here and no glitz or much glamour...just lots and lots of stress free style and pampering service!!
We cannot recommend it highly enough.

My husband, our two children and I have returned this wk from what was undoubtably the worst holiday ever. We chose this hotel because of its fantastic discrption on their websit. Just what we were looking for boutique style modern and a bit of luxury, WHAT A JOKE. We arrived exhausted after a4hr flight delay at 2.30 in the morning, no one around to help with bags struggling throu the glass doors wich were cracked and the glass fragments on the floor. The first thing to hit us was the smell of sewege NOT what you'de expect from a 5star hotel. The lobby itsself was neither boutique or modern more 70's throw back. At the desk was we think at best a night porter who informed us in a very matter of fact way your NOT staying here, were over booked your going to another hotel up the road and as if they were doing us a big favour he said were going to pay for your cab while shoving adisclaimer form under our nose. As you can imagine that was NOT SIGNED. The reason for this was troops on respite from Afghanistan NOT thier fault but what is this hotel playing at still taking family bookings we booked 3 months ago. As ive now seen from other reviewers this has happened many times before, there a some fantastic reviews for this hotel but they must have been made when it first opened. Even the local cab drivers laughed when we explained our situation and mention Azia blues website they call it a 3 star at best. Our troubles didnot end there that night the hotel they sent us to gave us a match box of a room with our children sleeping on sofas and a put u up which we had to share with an infestation of ants this part of the hotel also had the sewege aroma. It took 3days to sort out another room and an extra £500 on top of what was already an expensive holiday only half of tha aminities up and running, restuarents not opened yet even though the hotel was full we were not worth opening everything up for. All in all the worst holiday ever.

I first read about the resort on Conde Nast traveller in July. It was a very useful, long article about the resort and giving hints of how to enjoy the area with children. We went there in August and had an absolutely wonderful time. The hotel is simple yet very stylish. The service is relaxed, efficient and warm. My personal favourites the inroom products...made of natural ,greek ingredients and smelling divine. In the hot afternoons of the summer they also go around the pool with cold towels ...little touches like that, that make you enjoy a family holiday even more. I am not the type that usually goes on these websites...or trusts these 'opinions'. The reason I decided to write this is that when I recommended this resort to my friend she read to me some of these reviews on the phone...and I was SHOCKED. This is a lovely, family friendly resort. When I was there , may be just under half of the guests I met have stayed in the resort before and loved it and will come back. It has one of the best gardens I have seen and three days after you have been at the Azia you cant but relax and fall into a bliss. Ask for Panayiotis at the restaurant in the evening (or at breakfast), him, like most of the senior staff have been there for years and take very good care of all of us who keep going back. Some of the comments on this site are simply UNTRUE e.g. gym is fantastic and new, cleanliness in the resort is impeccable etc! Small things may go wrong now and then but never anything major and the staff there DO care and make sure they get it right without being pretentious, uptight or fake about the way they serve you. Lovely hotel and lovely staff.

Worst hotel in over 20 years of travelling, not a 5 star, Argo not interested in my complaint, Hotel only interested in their own profit. No customer service.
We had to stay in a hotel full of hundreds of Canadian soldiers returning from tour of duty in Afghanistan. Had no problem with them, you could only expect their behaviour after being cooped up for a period of time, but why have normal tourists attending there as well!
It was horrible, swearing, drinking behaviour, never expected in a 5 star hotel, it was supposed to have excellent leisure facilities, but we could never use them.
I will never go with ARGO again, and neither should you!

The hotel has taken on a contract to provide Canadian soldiers just back from the front line with 'R&R'. 150 of them at a time. Rowdy, drunk - they make the pool effectively off-limits for anyone with children - occasional fights. How many genuine 5* hotels have military police attending to check on the guests or boxes of condoms in the lobby? Spoke to various other English groups. All appalled.
We checked out after one night. Hotel promised that they would not charge us at all, but I have returned to an e-mail saying that we are being invoiced for that night! Uncomfortable bed, indifferent food. Standard room poor, 'club' room not much better. Just not a 5* hotel.
If I had known the truth, I wouldn't have touched it with a bargepole.

This is a very good 4* hotel (but not quite international 5* as claimed), with excellent food, comfortable rooms (but check that yours has been refurbished to a ceramic floor not carpet), friendly room service and BBC 1&2+SkyNews to boot!
Very pleasant grounds, well maintained pool with limpid water, central 'island' with waterside bar and good scattering of palm trees, bougainvilleas, sun-loungers, and parasols.
Terrace dinner at night on half board with gentle breeze, view of the sunset, pool and palm trees with good and friendly service - not easily beaten in any London restaurant at twice the price (though the few pounds 'supplements' for the alternate night buffets do add up, and should really be included in the price).
This hotel is very good but could be really great if management tried a little bit harder on areas such as poolside area grass maintenance (finding bare earth where you step barefoot after a swim is unpleasant).
Lounger mattress cleanliness (muddy due to not being washed regularly and left out at night). Broken parasols left unrepaired, and non-functioning hand driers in some of the public loos (which the staff know about); also they might abolish annoying and very trivial rules such as about what you can put into your mini-bar (though the prices of drinks from here and the bars are generally fair).
Reception staff had some helpful knowledge of local geography, but no ideas on any aspects of local tourism (but excellent office in Paphos town if you can find it!).
We had a splendid week in late June with fabulous weather, met some very pleasant English guests who became friends, and would return happily again.

We stayed at Azia Beach Hotel in September 2005. Our best holiday by far. First class hotel, first class service.
The ultimate in relaxation. Cool face towels on sunloungers in the afternoon, watermelon and drinks brought to you as you soak up the sun.
The quality and choice of food was superb, with different dining experiences each evening.
We took full use of the leisure facilities. Very good gym and squash courts so you can keep up your fitness whilst enjoying all the good food.
Must be experienced to appreciate all on offer at Azia Beach.

We booked our holiday to Cyprus with Cresta Holidays. We stayed at the Azia Beach Hotel and Spa resort, the hotel was fantastic.
My Husband (my partner at the time of stay) and I were staying at the hotel as we were to get married within the Paphos resort. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and helped with organising a wedding reception for us once we had returned from the church.
The hotel was very clean and tidy and the entertainment laid on each night was very good. It had all sorts of spa and relaxation treatments to choose from. We will definitely be staying there again in the near future and would recommend the hotel to anyone wishing to visit Cyprus.

We went to the Azia Beach in august 2004, and it was fantastic. We opted for the premium club, and the lounge was brilliant (free drinks, food and magazines). Fresh towels were brought to you sum lounger every 3 hours, watermelon every 2 and the pool was fantastic.
Brilliantly clean, safe, people who want to swim can, and it has a deep part for diving. The swim up bar is a bit expensive but worth it, and is a really cool touch. The indoor pool was chlorinated but was still nice, the squash and tennis courts are great and there is a free table tennis table and pool table. The sauna, hydro bath, and stem room are fab (and free for premium users). The room was wicked, and was kept clean every day (fresh towels fruit and all) and the staff are so friendly. You can avoid the fridge chargers (we called them fridge Nazis!) by just taking out your drinks for a few mins while they check it.
Now for THE BEST BIT.. The food. absolutely fantastic, everything under the sun, and on some nights you can eat in the akamas restaurant (fancy food) and some days outside (buffet full of everything) and the breakfast is absolutely fantastic, cakes, cheese, melon, fruit, fry up, toast, omelettes, freshly squeezed orange juice and everything else. And for lunch you choose of a menu of kid’s meals, salads, and meats fish veggies chips etc each being fantastic. I thoroughly recommend this hotel

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Azia Hotel in Cyprus. We were very concerned after reading bad reviews just before we went, but we found the hotel to be everything that we hoped for. The pool area is stunning and our room was well equipped with a large balcony and sea view. The staff throughout the hotel were all really friendly and the food in the restaurant was superb.
