Siam Bayshore

We have just arrived back from our holidays at Pattaya the accomadation at the Siam Bayshore Resort which we stayed at for 16 days was a excellent choice the grounds are so beautifully presented, pools are both great and big, buffet breakfast has everything you can imagine, staff were always friendly and helpful, we stayed in one of the garden veiw rooms which probably would be one of the cheaper ones and found it to be very comfortable huge king size bed good size room everything was there that you needed. This hotel is located in a terribly sleazy party of Pattaya. It's steps away from all the bars/clubs that compromise the red light district of Pattaya. You can't avoid feeling scared of the old, tanned westerners hanging out with young Thai women. We came with our two young sons and even though the grounds were nice the surroundings made us feel trapped at the hotel and grounds. The hotel common areas were beautiful but the room itself was not nice. The bathtub was rusty and dirty. The staff was pleasant and the restaurants were good.... more

The hotel was nice and well situated. Very near the shopping malls. Excellent dining area too. However, the staff are not as polite and helpful as the ones you see in bangkok hotels and the management seems not interested in improving their service. That's fine but I won't really recommend this hotel to my friends.

We had arranged to stay in this resort for one night only on our way from Koh Chang to Phuket Thank goodness we elected to stay here for one night only. Although located close to the quiet end of the notoriously seedy walking street the hotel is a quiet oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Pattaya. You can be in the centre of the noisy bar areas in less than 5 minutes although when staying in the hotel you would never know it. The hotel grounds are lovely with lots of water features and greenery, the pools are lovely and service is above average. A very cosmopolitan clientele use this hotel but the prices are not too expensive. Highly recommended.

Excellent location, friendly staff. Beautiful tropical gardens within the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel we requested an upgrade, and the staff were more than helpful in accomodating us. The rooms were clean, although there was a faint smell of damp from the air conditioning. The hotel has two swimming pools one in the middle of the hotel and the other across the road by the beach. The Siam Bayshore is an oasis in Pattaya. Located by the pier at the end of the walking street is has no resemblence to the street in front. From check in to our departure the staff at the Siam were extremely friendly and classy. We spent most mornings shopping and the afternoons by the pool located beachside. The rooms were basic but comfortable. Hopefully they will be upgraded to the standard of the common areas of this hotel, which were outstanding. We decided to escape Bangkok for a day or two but didn't have time to drive far away. We were keen to get away from the madding crowd, and although Pattaya was not the ideal choice for that, we figured at least there was some sea. What we found was a pleasant resort and a good escape. Unique Qualities: The grounds of the hotel are quite extensive and include 4 tennis courts. The hotel is rather organic in shape, and is filled with pockets and strips of well tended gardens. We stayed at the Siam Bayshore for 03 nights in the end of Feb. We had booked the garden view rooms but they were sold out and we got upgraded to the executive rooms! We had thoroughly researched the hotel before booking and were quite happy with the garden view room, but the executive rooms were a pleasant suprise. Although we had requested a king size bed we got two queen beds. However, the staff immediately joined the two and we had no problems then. Enjoyed my stayed at the Bayshore; it was a quiet location, yet convienent to everything. Clean, comfortable, the service in the restruants was great, with a beautiful pool area. The reception staff was unfriendly with check in and check out; although I had a prepaid reservation it took them over an hour and a half to check me in and out.
