Residencia Miami Hotel

My friends and I occupied 4 different rooms. All were fine. Mine was the smallest, with no balcony, but still a comfortable bed and usually hot water in the shower. (With the Costa del Sol heat, it didn't matter much if there wasn't hot water.) The swimming pool and patio are wonderful for hanging out and meeting other guests from all over. We met tourists from England, Scotland, Italy and France and a mariachi band from Mexico. The Hotel Miami gets fully booked during high season, so you need to book early. No Credit Cards.

I honestly do not understand why some people have given such bad ratings for this hotel! This was exceptional value, we only paid around £15 per person per night and got quite a nice lovely medium sized room with balcony overlooking the pool side and gardens (which are beautiful - like your own little tropical garden.). The only slight problem in the house was the amount it echoes in there, but not enough to disturb your sleep. The air con worked fine in our room but was a bit dodgy in our friend's room, but it was still ok to sleep in, not... more

Friend and I stayed there for two nights en route to the mountains. I booked it as I wanted a low rise, characterful hotel. I was not disappointed. Simply furnished, clean accommodation, balcony overlooking the garden and pool, lovely surroundings and an employee who cheerfully, at 02.30, carried our bags up to the top floor. It's a short stroll to the prom with shops, cafes and restaurants... I plan to return.

"hotel miami",.........what a laugh,our room was terrible,flaking paint on woodwork,we were stuck at the rear of the hotel in a dark and dingy room,the door handle came off when we tried to go out !!!!!!!. one evening we came back to see the porter watching "porn" on the t.v,we obviously disturbed him as we were told to "BE QUIET". the pool wasnt cleaned all the time we were there !!!,there was debri floating in it. the "BREAKFAST" consisted of a "bread roll "....thats it !!!!!!. A lovely, charming hotel. Nice and helpful personel. ( Paco is working there since 35 years, hola Paco ) A perfect place to stay for people over 30. Soon we are comming back for the fifth time. Kristian / Britt Sweden.

Based on good reviews we decided to book. Cannot see what drove others to rave reviews. Our room was dirty - dog biscuits on floor only one example (guess it could have been dog poop!). A/C did not work & owner/manager did not care. Our room was dark, dingy and fairly small. Daylight made it look worse. Breakfast is continental & sparse. Haven't had other experience in Torremolinos, but if you MUST stay there, there has to be be better choices. Could be charming & nice if owner cared. But best description is "seedy."... more

Great value, charming, very conveniently located, close to beach, shops and restaurants. Bathrooms recently redone, stayed 2 nights a great experience, would stay there again!

We enjoyed the Miami. However, there is no lift (our room was on the 3rd floor), no air conditioning (could be a problem in the summer) and there was not sun at the swimming pool until late afternoon (we were there in September). It's quaint, breakfast served outside at couryard weather permitting. The location is great. The staff was very sweet and helpful.

I would highly recommend Hotel Miami in Torremolinos. The service was excellent; all of the staff were very helpful and friendly and we had a wonderful time. The room was clean and comfortable, and the rates were extremely reasonable. It's a great Andalucian hotel with a beautiful patio and swimming pool. I'd love to stay there again!

It is a charming hotel (the only one in Torremolinos). It has 2 stars, but it could be above, I think. Best regards
