Heaven on Earth! Total Bliss!
from Aussie_Pearl
This place is just beautiful! We were picked up from the airport in Krabi by Railay Bay staff after spending 4 nights in Bankok & were welcomed at the airport by the most beautiful guy & girl. We were then transferred by mini bus (about 20 minutes) to the pier at Ao Nammao for a 15 minute longtail ride to East Railay. The scenery along the way was SO breathtaking! The wonderful Timmy was awaiting our arrival & we went to reception & were given a refreshing drink & cold towel to freshen up. Then on to the Privacy Cottage that we had...

Garden Cottage is an excellent value
from Carruth
Great location on a gorgeous beach. Very few hotel rooms at Railay beach have views, so don t expect a view from the room. Since we weren't getting a view anyway, we stayed in the least expensive rooms (the garden cottages at ~US$60) and were happy with that choice. The room was spacious and well-appointed, and exceeded our expectations for a mid-range budget. We were there in low season and had plenty of privacy. Transport to/from the airport was excellent. The restaurant staff was very friendly. The front desk was professional and...

Horrible Service......
from 320Bus
The resort is situated amidst some of the most beautiful limestone cliffs and beaches in the world. However, the service provided by the staff was nothing short of horrible. The room we booked was a privacy cottage and it's modern facade, was probably the only good thing about the room. The main entrance doors had large gaps which, especially at night, provided ample opportunity for mosquito's to make their way through in search of a snack. Our 4 year old son had trouble sleeping at night with the mosquito bites. The reason: Near the...

Nice pool

I stayed at the Railay Bay Resort for 5 nights. Even though the resort advertises it is 4 star resort, it seemed more like a 3 star one to me. When you arrive during low tide in the long tail boat, a resort employee drives a tractor trailer to the boat so that you don’t have to trek through the mud. The room I stayed in was decent, although it smelled like someone urinated in the closet so I was not able to put anything inside it. The food in the restaurant was some of the best in Railay, but there were flies and insects all over...

Great Place - Shame about the serviice
from sjjonesy
We stayed at the Rayleigh Bay Resort for 4 nights in April 07. We stayed in a privacy cottage which was a very nice room although we had paid the money for this. It was nice to have own private space which included jacuzzi, openair shower and sunloungers. This made up for what l felt was absolutly terrible service in the other areas of the resort. If you do stay here, do not at any point eat in the restaurant. The staff do not know what they are doing and have no idea how to wait on customers. It is not a cheap resort and while you...

Lovely inside nature
from lromolo
Railay Bay is wondeful, it looks to come back 30 years ago, in 70's, very freak and nice for young friends couple or "light" adventurous, but first of all is the best place to stay for daily excursion. No cars, no tourist as in the near Ao Nang, but of course there is some little problem with full confort. We stayed at villa with private swimming pool, but i never used, its more than i expected !! no noise at all, people very kind and relaxing, hotel arranged for me the transfer from Phuket and it was everything ok !! air condition did...

Some problems, but still ok overall
from Little_e74
I stayed there in Jan. '07 for two nights. Overall, we had a pleasant time. Railay Bay itself is gorgeous and definitely worth a visit. Arriving by longtail boat is fun as well. The good: -The privacy cottage is very cute on the inside and appeared clean and well-kept. -The pool is fabulous, the view unbeatable. We were there in off season and had no trouble securing a pool chair or space to swim. Near the pool is a bar for beer and a spa with reasonably priced massages. -You get free breakfast vouchers for each morning,...

Loved it

Stayed at the Railay Bay Resort with my girlfriend over new year 2006-2007. This was our 2nd stay on Railay having previously stayed at the excellent Sunrise Tropical. It's a very close call, but I think the Railay Bay is even better. First things first, there has been building work at the resort which was due to finish on December 20th 2006 but which was far from finished when we arrived on Decemeber 28th. The good news is that a second pool in the middle of the resort is finished and is excellent, providing much-needed extra sun...

Regretted our choice, but made the best of surounding atractions.
from madeliene
Thailand: Railay Bay Resort and Spa Krabi 15th Dec 2006 We loved the long boat arirval, and the superb limestone cliffs, and waded ashore at 6pm as darkness quickly fell and also the rain. Soaked through, with staff pulling the luggage on a trolley and the stench of sewage increasing minute by minute, we joined others in the small reception area, and waited our turn while others argued over their rooms. I noticed our luggage still on the trolley in the heavy rain and lugged it under cover, then we were shown to a ground floor deluxe...

I don't understand all these complaints!!!
from A TripAdvisor Member
Hello! I stayed at Railay bay resort for 3 nights, and I found it amazing! I keep on telling my friends how great it was and make sure that they are going there if they go to Krabi. And now I read all these comments, I don't understand. The location is just excellent, and I was lucky being there in the off-season so it wasn't too crowded and there were enough beds around the swimming pool. Besides that the price was great, they are having a special offer untill september (I guess), stay 3 nights pay only 2 (because of some...
