Great location and value
We stayed here for a couple of days and enjoyed it here. Phi Phi as an island is pricey but this hotel was worth the money. A great pool and fantastic views on a very good beach. It is very close to the port but not noticeable as it is out the front of the hotel - in fact this makes it very handy. The town is a 2 minute walk away. Rooms are basic but clean. Mossies are a bit of an issue so take lots of insect repellent The hotel suited our needs perfectly - access to trips, a great pool, good beach and awesome views.
Gorgeous hotel, friendly staff, excellent location
My boyfriend and I stayed here for three (3) nights for $150/night from November 28-December 1, 2007. We were in a comfortable deluxe room which was suspiciously overrun with mosquitoes (I think they came in through the vent?) but other than that, it had a beautiful view and comfortable amenities. The hotel itself is gorgeous, it was still undergoing some minor renovations when we were there but nothing that distracted from the enjoyment of our trip. Fantastic pool, great beach area, tasty and varied breakfasts, friendly and professional... more
Nice Hotel in the Paradise Island
We came to Thailand last month, for 10 days trips started from Bangkok, to Phuket and lastly Phi Phi island. By far, Phi Phi is one the most beautiful sight I've ever seen. Checked in Phi Phi Cabana hotel was very efficient. As I booked through phi-phi.com, and requested to be put in bayview room, the staff obliged and put as in 3rd floor with balcony facing Lo Dalum Bay (see photo). It was fantastic ! By visual, this hotel is the best hotel available in Tonsai Bay and Lo Dalum Bay area. You won't be able to deny it as all other hotels... more
DO NOT stay here!
When I saw pictures of Phi Phi Cabana hotel I was amazed. It looked beautiful with stunning views of the beach from every room. I had no idea how wrong I'd be. We checked in on October 20th and were planning to stay 2 nights. We noticed immediately how many aspects of the hotel were still under rennovation. We walked past the pool area to get to our bungalow and pieces of the tile were missing or had dirty footprint tracks all across it. The grounds were terrible, mostly just soil layed down with hardly any vegetation. No flowers or... more
Average three star
Stayed here for two nights in August 07. Hotel: the previous incarnation of this hotel was apparently destroyed by the tsunami, and the new version is really new, and according to some sources we talked to, the best hotel on Phi Phi - or at least the best hotel in Phi Phi village (which is easy to believe, mostly because most others rate well below average). When we stayed here in August 2007 the hotel was mostly built but some finishing touches were still being applied, such as the gardens which were messy, and one wing was still... more
Loved the hotel - Shame about the staff
Just returned from 3 nights at the Phi Phi Island Cabana Hotel. This hotel has the potential to be great having comfortable rooms in a stunning location with a beautiful view of Lo Dalum Bay. It's currently undergoing some building work (extensions) and hopefully will have some landscaping work done also as the grounds are full of rubble and broken glass. At present the staff is hopelessly inefficient, speak virtually no English and have little idea about what the word "service" means. We booked and prepaid a particular type of... more
Ok Hotel-- WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
The hotel is in a good location but the customer service is non existant. They barely know english and don't mention that half of what makes up a four start hotel is not re-built as yet. The rooms are nicely done up and the TV works most of the time. There are several families there and others from the island come to the huge pool which can be a plus or minus. The staff is incredibly incompetent and has NO understanding of how even basic manners work let alone customer service you would expect in almost any hotel espicially one that is... more
Nice Hotel - Staff lacks customer service
The hotel is beautiful and has an excellent location. However, the staff has a serious lack of customer service. The keys for the rooms worked sporadically and it was extremely frustrating to walk up several flights of stairs a day only to find you key doesn't work AGAIN. That wasn't the most frustrating part of the problem, getting someone to help you get into your room was. The staff didn't seem to care that once again I was asking to be let into my room. One night the front desk clerk and security officer actually laughed at me right in... more
loved every minute there
We stayed at this hotel 3 times before the Tsunami and were happy to return as it was being rebuilt . Stayed there for 3 days with the whole family and loved every minute .
Best of luck and success in 2006
Phi Phi Cabana was the most delightful resort. The location was excellent. Close to all the activities (shopping, meals, boating, etc.) We would like to send our best wishes for a very successful 2006. We plan to visit once again during our next trip to Thailand in Feb of 2007.
