Nova Platinum Hotel

stayed there last weend. got a room in the new wing. fancy looking lobby, nicely appointed room (room number xx08), rain shower, 32" flat screens, freshly cooked eggs at the buffet, friendly staff. and all this just meters away from pier to islands or nightlife in walking street. the restaurant with openair tables near the pool is a really nice place to hang out and have some drinks and food. there is free wireless internet access in all rooms and a interner corner with pc's. can recommend to anyone who looks for a decent place to... more

Spent three nights at Nova Platinum in their newly-finished Platinum 2 wing. still new carpet smell in the entrance and hallways, and my Euro-chic designed room looked like it had just been taken from the crate. Room was small, but well-appointed with plush bedding, and bathroom(great shower)was well stocked with toiletries and gels. Flat screen TV, inroom safe which held my 12 inch Macbook, and blackout curtains--a perfect place to hide or recover from the madness of Walking Street a few blocks away. The Nova Platinum has recently been completely redone. It features new rooms, bathrooms, large LCD Televisions, pool view for half the rooms, mountain-street-view for the other half. It's not beach front. It's located on the road to Jomtien. The pool is a nice free float with palms, sand beach and a slide. It features an open lobby with free wireless Internet that also worked in the pool area and in our room. The restaurant is small, yet very clean and the freshly prepared food was excellent. Brand new hotel in Pattaya and very comfortable. Stylish rooms, big TVs, all mod cons and an excellent swimming pool with a water slide. Restaurant was quite slow, but did good value tasty Italian food. Bar was expensive. A short walk from Walking Street and the beach in Pattaya, but far enough away to seem apart from all the madness.

Newish hotel with very impressive lobby - a 'red' coloured theme, reflective tiling, stylish furniture - which leads straight out to the impressive pool area. Nice pool furniture with a sandy area where the sunbeds are, and a good gym. Rooms aren't large but very tastefully decorated with high-end bathroom fittings. However, I felt the bathroom was a bit on the small size - kept hitting my big toe on the small step leading out. I stayed for almost 2 weeks in this hotel and paid 1750 BHT from an internet booking website. The hotel is a true 4 star hotel, with a great pool, good service and no joiner fees. Rooms are clean and new, white bedsheets, flat TV and the nicest bathroom I've seen for that price. The superior rooms only have pool view, which is not worth the extra money. This is true for now, since the hotel is new. In 2-3 years, this might be totally different. But since the hotel is managed by AMARI, there could be some hope!

This hotel was one of the better hotels I've ever stayed at when considering location, with price, with food, with services. I was very happy staying there, the rooms were very nice, awesome flat screen wide tv, dvd player, have coffee/tea in room etc, and the place has a resort-style pool area with a swim up bar, and even has a water slide lol and the water temp in the pool was beyond PERFECT! The bads were, the internet in my room was too far away from the router so my net was VERY bad connection, but next time I will ask for a room... more

OK this hotel is still being finished but most of the work is now complete....everything they say is now in the rooms (dvd, coffee etc etc) Hotel staff are as good as ever location is OK and convienient for what Pattaya has to offer (only a few hundred yards walk to walking street and main nightlife) Hotel resturaunt is v.good....bar service second to none...pool area is great Rate was a little high at 2200 baht....yes you can get cheaper but at about 35gbp for a good room, great hotel with wonderful staff it's still a good... more

Am rather dissapointed with this hotel, even though I paid a cheap rate of 1,700 Baht per night. They do not supply what is advertised as there was no DVD player, coffee or team making facilities in my room. When managment was asked about this, response was poor. Bathroom is very small, so small it felt uncomfortable. The hotel is new though, but cheaply furnished with immitation floors, and built ins that given a short time will not be attractive. New hotel just opened in December 2007. Property was formerly the Bowling Alley Hotel in Pattaya and has been extensively refurbished. For the price (THB3,700++) there are much better options available around Pattaya. Hotel style is very similar to Hard Rock Hotel and is managed by the Amari Group, who have a range of hotels around Thailand.
