Nostos Apartments

From the first minute I enjoyed my stay at Nostos apartments. They arranged me a taxi transfer from the airport to Oia. Arriving in Oia a young man was waiting for me and brought my heavy suitcase down to the apartments. Many steps! The manager welcomed me and shown me my apartment. We stayed in Nostos Appartment for one week end of May. We travelled with our 8 months baby and all of us had a great time. Andreas, the manager who is running this place, organized a traditional and wooden baby bed and the appartment was spacious enough to perfectly fit. The attached picture shows the view out of the appartment door to our great and pleasant terrace. Nostos was our alternative to Ikies because it was 1) too expensive and 2) inconvenient (they would have had us change rooms multiple times in order to accommodate our visit). We were there for our 4nights on our honeymoon and basically found it to be a very pleasant surprise. Andreas is a very classy, bend over backwards/ please you- kind of guy, especially when we screwed up our car rental return and left it for him to deal with at the airport! My wife and I stayed a week at Nostos Apartments in Oia in early May 2007. This is a very nice property with wonderful views and beautiful terraces. There is also a small pool, it was a little cold for swimming in early May but still a nice way to cool down after laying in the sun... The manager (Andreas) is a wonderful host and was very attentive to our needs and gave excellent advice and history of Oia. The others working there were also very friendly and helpful. Wow, what a place to stay! The view from our cave house overlooking the caldera and the stunning sunsets made this impressive accommodation totally memorable. We decided to go to Santorini in the non-tourist season and knew that the majority of hotels, restaurants and shops would be closed, but what a gem we found with Nostos Apartments. We stayed at Nostos for 4 Nights. The location in Oia is perfect and there are amazing views to be had over the caldera. Immobile travellers need to know that there are many very steep, narrow steps down to the apartments. We were, thankfully, helped with our bags but it would be difficult to make the ascent and descent if you had any mobility problems. We booked in for 2 nights in Nostos Apartments whilst island hopping around the cyclades and were so impressed we stayed an extra night. The location is perfect and the rooms large, clean and comfortable. The manager was friendly and very helpful. There is no dining facilities but the hotel is in the middle of Oia in walking distance of many very good restaurants. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone going to Santorini.
