Mercure Hotel Pattaya

Great hotel, breakfast was ok. TukTuk to 2nd road was a great idea. The staff could'nt do enogh for you. Me and my family have stayed in Pattaya many times now for 7 years in top hotels such as the Montien and the Siam Bayview, but the staff in this hotel were absolutely brilliant. Rooms are fine and very clean, room service very good and is the only hotel in Pattaya we have stayed in and not had to pay extra to keep the room on the last day, because we didn't need to leave till 8.00 in the evening. Would gladly stay there again.

The Mercure is a nice hotel with 24-hour shuttle service that will get you close to the nightlife. Friendly staff. Great buffet breakfast with made to order omelets for 200 baht. Nice pool. Clean rooms.

The reason we selected this hotel was because U16s stayed for free and we picked up a 2-4-1 offer of free nights and free breakfast! So, we got a great rate that couldn't be bettered elsewhere. The room was smallish (there is no bathtub), but had a reasonable balcony overlooking the pool where you could read & relax. It was nicely furnished in modern colours. We decided to go to Pattaya as the weather in Phuket where we were was so bad. As we booked this hotel on the day we wanted to go we got a very good deal of 6100THB for the whole 3 nights (around £33 per night) The rooms were nice and clean and a good size, bathrooms only have a shower if you have a standard room but have balcony. I stay at Accor properties when I can as I am an AdvantagePlus member and I have found that "name brand" hotels offer the best balance of service, price, location and quality. The Mercure is no exception. Probably not an ideal choice for families with kids as the pool area does not offer slides and so on for youngsters. Also it appears the hotel is popular with foreign guys and their Thai "partners". This can sometimes distress mums and dads! I got a corner room on the 7th floor with a view to the outside of the hotel which is not very pleasant due to construction that are being done next door, other than that, the room is spacious and comfortable, huge balcony because of the corner room. The pool is bigger than the pictures made it out to be. The free pick up/drop-off service is great, saves you from walking a few blocks to and from the hotel. The price for the rooms are very reasonable. The staff are pleasant and polite, would definetely come back and stay here again and again.

Make no mistake, this is a very nice, clean comfortable hotel, with all the services one could expect. Each room has a balcony with a couple of deck chairs to take in the morning sun. Negatives: Only one small one in regards to the laundry service. The hotel compendium says that clothes collected before 11am will be ready by 6pm (at the usual hefty price), however on checking with housekeeping I was told that I wouldn't get my laundry back until 8pm the following day. The Mercure is fantastic - very clean, sufficient room, delicious food (the Sunday buffet is gigantic), very nice + helpfull personnel , nice pool + aqua gymnastics - a calm oasis after shopping or sunbathing in Pattaya + Jomtien. We are just planning our holiday this year to go to Phuket. However, having the wonderful Mercure in mind it might very well be that we go to Pattaya again. Helen + Alfred

My wife and I stayed 4 nights in the Mercure and found it to be a first rate hotel. We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms and it was very clean and spacious and had coffee/tea making facilities which always earns a bonus point in my book. The bathroom was a touch on the small size though with no bath. The complex has a lovely swimming pool with lifeguard on duty, a great place to cool off, and they even have games for the guests during the day.
