Marriott's Marbella Beach Resort

This was an excellent amazingly great location that left me speechless after so many horror or disappointing [ to sound more positive ] experiences in Europe. The Marriott had it all: - Spacious 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment - well equipped kitchen [ american standards ] - washer/dryer [ do not take many clothes given the possibility to wash/dry at will ] - nice balcony for lunch/dinner/breakfast - limited view on the ocean but who cares - well designed pools with one mostly populated by kids and another... more

My husband and I, and our 2 friends, just returned from staying at the Marbella Marriott for a week. Our 2 bedroom apartment was beautiful and very big. The master bedroom had a jacuzzi tub, and the 2nd bedroom had a huge glass walled shower. The kitchen was about as big as my kitchen back home, and we had a nice big table outside on the balcony. I have read that the pools are cold, and they are, but I found out why. Apparently in Spain, it is illegal to heat any outdoor pools, including jacuzzi's, so that is why there are 2 indoor pools... more

Just returned from ten days here with husband and 4 children, fabulous place. The apartment was stunning, cleaned daily. Good security. Gardens and pool areas were lovely. Great indoor pools. Food at the beach bar and the main restaurant was very good as were the staff. This is the only place we have been to where we would definately return. Nikki Beach is worth a visit, very cool place and is just next door. Don't bother with Cristina's restaurant, reception recommend it as it's only a 5 minute walk, food terrible, staff even worse. Marriott, once again, has proved themselves as a top of the line time share resort. The Marbella resort was beautiful, great amentities ( large pool area,pool bar, snacks, Charlie's and activities/concierge). Close proximity to Old town Marbella, but taxi's can be expensive (15 Euro one way). Rooms were spacious, clean and decorated with Spanish flavor. Room was cleaned everyday, including fresh towels etc. This is unlike most other Marriott resorts where you have to pay for daily service. HINT- the convenience store is very reasonable... more

Have stayed in the Marriotts before in USA and i must say that this one matched up to the same standard. I say that as sometimes the European standard is not quite as high. From the moment we checked in i was impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. We didn't get the high floor i had requested (just 2 days prior to arrival) but we were on 1st floor overlooking indoor swimming pool/outdoor pool. It was very quiet where we were in building 12. My family of 6 just got back from a weeklong stay at the Marriott Marbella resort. Malaga to Marbella is considerably built up but the Marriott serves as a great enclave right on the Med in an exclusive residential area. The condo was as expected, very well done with marble floors, pale yellow walls and nice woodwork, up-to-date appliances, spotless and roomy. Stayed for 4 nights end of March and found the resort and accoommodation 1st class. Car hire is strongly recommended as approx 50km from airport and would cost EUR60 each way by taxi. Complex is 10mins from Marbella by car and 10mins walk to nearest shops/supermarkets. Hotel provided printouts with driving instructions from hotel to several cities & places of interest... so we didn't get lost! My family spent a week at the Marriott Marbella Beach Resort the week before Christmas and had a great time. We loved the accomodations. We had a two bed room unit with a view of the Med Sea. The room is beautiful...marble tile throughout, high end furniture, washer and dryer, three TVs, DVD and stereo, comfortable beds, etc. My 5 yr old daughter loved the kids club which ran every week day. Very nice, newer resort ith Mediterranean beachfront. Great design, grounds, multiple pools, lots of nice resort features with gated access to the beach. Resort will arrange day tours to many locations around the area (including Africa). We had a 3-bedroom, 3-bath unit. All marble floors, nice appliances (including washer/dryer), nice furnishings, down comforters and feather pillows, outdoor patio.
