HM Jaime III

Stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed the experience. We received a very efficient and pleasant reception before accessing our rooms which were both spacious, modern, comfortable and clean. The hotel is in a very central location and served an excellent breakfast which was included in our room rate. We did not dine in the hotel but did enjoy pre-dinner drinks at very reasonable prices on the street terrace. We had been to Palma lots of times, mainly by boat, and knew it as an exciting city with lots of good restaurants, shops and bars and a great buzz. We wanted a central hotel to reflect the character of the place and found it at the Jaime III. It is just on the edge of town but walking distance to all the main tourist sights - minutes from the great modern gallery, Es Baluard, and the shopping street of Jaume III. We stayed here for 5 days in July, having booked the hotel on actice holidays.com. The hotel is immaculate, one of the cleanest hotels i have ever stayed in!! The linen was changed along with the towels on a daily basis!! Now for the important stuff, this is a hotel of 2 halves, what I mean by this is that if you are unfortunate enough to get a room at the back of the hotel it will put a dampner on your break, we were given room 810 when we arrived but promptly complained about the room before being moved to the front of the hotel. My wife and I along with 4 other married couples have just returned from the Jaime 111, Ave Jaime 111, Palma Mallorca. After booking in for a 3 night ` long weekend` stay. The hotel overall is very good however the rooms do differ in size. My room (408) was a fair old size, with bathroom, 3 beds, and a table and chairs, however the window overlooked the rear of the hotel and was not a nice view. We have just returned from Mallorca.We spent 4 days in Palma at the Jaime III. We had got a triple room wich was large but with an ugly backyard view !! I'm sure that the rooms with balcony and canal views are much better,but I have made the reservation on the Hotel website and they did not have that option!! The location is excellent,a walking distance to the historic center as well as the port.The bus touristic stop is close to the Hotel. My husband and i stayed at this hotel in the middle of march and we had a great time.The hotel room was nice ,although the view to the back was a little boring ,to say the least.However we were not in the room allday.Centrally located. Breakfast was great and you could have bucks fizz or a cava everyday if you wished. The staff are frendly and helpful. I stayed at the HM Jaime III with my sister for 3 nights at the beginning of April. We arrived at midnight and as seen in another review for this hotel we were placed in a x10 room next to the cleaning cupboards - this turned out to be very noisy in the morning. We requested a change to a balcony room the next day and though we had to take a smoking room the change was effected without any trouble. My boyfriend and I stayed here in April 2006. The location is excellent, the bus from the airport cost 2 Euro's and dropped us right outside. The shops, bars,restaurants are within a 3 minute walk, the Marina and cathedral about 8-10 minutes. The hotel is very clean, trendy and modern. The room was a reasonable size with all mod cons including a CD player (take your own CD's though). Breakfast was on a continental basis, but there was plenty. We have just come back from 5 nights staying at the Jaime 111 in Palma. Lovely big clean stylish room with a balcony overlooking the street and canal. Good soundproofing so no noise (or maybe we just slept well in the comfortable beds). Breakfast 10euros was a good buffet, available until 10.30 with fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, bacon and eggs, different breads and pastries. Very chic hotel, tasteful, modern decoration and looks as though its been refurbished very recently. Spacious rooms, each with CD player. Staff were very helpful and location also very good - 10 minutes walk to the cathedral. Integral cafe serves excellent hot buffet breakfast (as well as fruit, selection of cheeses and breads etc), for just 10 euros. Overall, very classy and excellent value.
