Locanda Sant'Agostin

We found this hotel on the net and were very pleased with the service we received even before leaving on our vacation. The hotel is a wonderful haven; small, clean and quiet with exceptional staff who guided and assisted us with every detail of the visit from recommending local restaurants (to suit our budget), to sightseeing, to the mundane tasks of taking the waterbuses from point to point. Highly recommended and very comfortable whether the stay be short or lengthy, business or pleasure.

We stayed here for 2 nights in late June. While it was a bit hard to get to the hotel from the water bus stop, we found the location perfect - away from the chaos of San Marco which is an easy 15 minutes walk via Rialto, nice and quiet neighborhood (loved hanging out at Piazza San Paolo and the brewery there had fantastic food). Overall a wonderful stay at this charming little hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful throughout, the rooms spotlessly clean at all times & the location ideal for walking to all landmarks. My husband and I made this the first stop on our honeymoon based on other good reviews we read and we were not disappointed. The rooms were neat and clean and the service was wonderful. We were very happy with the location as well, just a quick walk to the Rialto Bridge. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in this hotel in April '04, and must admit, it's a fantastic little hotel. Rooms are just about the right size, very cozy and warm, with all the necessary needs...phone, hairdryer, tv, central heating, and tea/coffee facilities. The room and also bathroom were kept spotless conditions!! Breakfast was great too. The staff were very friendly and very helpful too. Last but not least, the hotel is positioned in a fantastic location.

We stayed at Locanda Sant'Agostin for four days in late March. We selected it based on the reviews in tripadvisor.com and we were not disappointed - it exceeded our expectations. Leonardo, on the front desk is great and went out of his way to help us get oriented. Take his recommendations on restaurants too - they were all excellent. This was the perfect intimate hotel. Although the rooms are small for us, we found plenty of room to store all our things and never felt cramped. The decor is really charming and the staff is incredibly friendly. We even received an e-mail from the manager upon our return home to be sure we had had a safe trip. This is a wonderful hotel and in the perfect location! If you want to escape the crowds you need to stay here....but still a short walking distance to all the sites. The best part of this hotel is the staff- they really catered to us...and we did not have an easy group! I am going to come back to this hotel in the future and recommend to all my friends.

Recently I had the pleasure of visiting Venice for a week and by sheer luck found the Locanda Sant'Agostin.Well I can't say enough about our accommodation. It was very clean and the room beautifully decorated and comfortable, with excellent en-suite facilities. I found the staff very warm and friendly. They gave us great ideas of where to visit, and what to do. They were the type of people that you felt you've known forever - I think this is what Italian hospitality is all about. This was our second trip to Venice and what a fabulous time we had. This is a delightful hotel, recently renovated with great attention to detail. Not ostentatious, just beautifully and comfortably well done. Rooms are small to medium sized, with balconies, comfortably furnished. Great location just a short two blocks from the center of town, a short walk to the trains station and the water bus stop. Excellent cold buffet breakfast is included with the room.Staff is friendly and courteous. Highly recommended. I plan on returning.
