Locanda Ca Zose

We stayed at Locanda Ca' Zose for 5 nights as part of a 3-week trip, and it was the best hotel we stayed at! The owners were very friendly and helpful, the rooms quiet and recently updated with new bathrooms and double-glazed windows overlooking a small, little-used pedestrian street. Located near the Grand Canal opposite from San Marco square, the location is excellent *if* you have a waterbus pass - 22 euros for 72 hours - which you're going to want to have anyways. Locanda Ca' Zose is a small charming hotel in a perfect location for all major tourist sites, especially for art lovers. It has a true Venetian feel to it and the small personal touches make it feel as if it is your home in Venice. We stayed for seven nights to enjoy a feast of Venetian art and would certainly stay again if we are lucky enough to visit Venice again. A three day break with my daughter, her best friend and her mum. Searched for ages on the net, but this hotel had some good pics and rooms available, so a bit of a gamble. But we found it very easily, and were pleasantly suprised. It was clean and modern inside, but still retains the Venetian feeling, friendly owners, super clean and comfy rooms, plenty of hot water and comfy beds. My wife and I just spent 2 nights at this Hotel following an organised tour from Florence to Venice. We had a beautifully decorated and appointed room. Twin or double bed, marble bathroom and all conveniences. The Continental Breakfast was comprehensive and most adequate. Ca Zose is well located but away from the crowds. Almost adjacent to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum, the hotel is surrounded by Galleries. St Marks is a short walk via the Acadameia Bridge or a Gondola ride accross the Grand Canal. Ca Zose is a beautiful family owned hotel across the Grand Canal from St. Mark's Square, a convenient and desirable location. Valentina, one of two sisters who runs the hotel, was very welcoming and knowledgeable about Venice. Ca Zose is a small hotel offering an excellent full continental breakfast including Valentina's cappuccino if desired. What a great way to start the day in Venice.

My boyfriend chose Ca'Zose based on Tripadvisor reviews and you all did not steer him wrong! The rooms are charmingly decorated and quite comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and the owner (not sure which sister we met) was incredibly helpful when we were trying to figure out which train to catch to Milan. In addition to its proximity to the Salute vaporetto stop, Ca'Zose is near two traghetti crossings that provide quick and easy access to San Marco. My husband and I loved this hotel! Newly renovated hotel, convenient location, nice breakfast and very friendly landlady! We will definitely stay here again if we have a chance to visit Venice again :)

Venice was the last stop on a month long trip through Italy. Since it coincided with my wife's birthday, we wanted our hotel to be special. We were totally satisfied by Hotel Ca Zose. The building is newly renovated. The rooms are tasteful. The bathrooms are modern and clean. The location is quiet (in a residential neighborhood), convenient (between two vaporetto stops) and the hosts (two sisters) were very helpful and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely hotel. The room was beautifully appointed and peaceful. Although we were only there for 2 nights - far too short a time to spend in Venice - it was an excellent mini break. The hotel is on the tourist route near to the Salute and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection but still remains quiet. The sisters who run the hotel are charming and friendly, speak several languages and are very helpful, especially with sorting out the various transport options! We will certainly stay here again.
