Good location, but find another hotel
from 5aday51
We stayed here for only one night on our return to KL before we flew home. We had previously stayed in the Traders hotel which we cannot fault. The Meridiens location from the airport and central train station is very convenient but in our opinion you would be better taking a very inexpesive cab ride and finding another hotel. There is nothing particularly wrong with the hotel but it lacked character, seemed expensive compared the the Traders for what you got. In house dining was also costly (hence we ate out). My...

Good, and better value than the adjacent Hilton
from Gemakan
I've just spent two weekend nights at Le Meridien, my fourth or fifth stay in the past three years. I've also stayed as many times at the adjacent Hilton and it's interesting to compare the two hotels, which share the same long but narrow (and shallow) swimming pool and gym. Le Meridien definitely is quieter, less funky (or pretentious, depending on your perspective) than the Hilton, and is consistently about a quarter or a third cheaper. Both hotels are the same age (about three years) and the rooms reflect this, but Le...

comfort and class
from LisaCCapeTown
What a comfortable and classy hotel. Right by Sentral station which is really a great location cause all the trains run off here. Also close to Midvalley Mall which has many, many shops. My breakfast was world-class too. Nice samples in bathroom too. And a very well stocked mini bar. I read a previous review that it was noisy and I heard nothing! Really quiet. Would love to stay there again and again
Good Location in a crazy city
from Last_travel_bug
Stay for 10 nights from end March to April 2007 with family. The hotel is situated beside Hilton and share the same access. The main lobby entrance for vehicle access via a ramp and is guarded and search by guards using mirrors under the car and checking the truck of the vehicles. All this as a precaution against terroist attacks. Other access pointa are monitored by hotel personnel and it feels fairly safe and assured that some form of security is being enforced even though any determined attempt would succeed. Nevertheless, the...

Lacks Atmosphere
from Rjoc
Everything about Le Meridien is as you would expect from a five star hotel. It is a beautiful hotel and one certainly couldn't fault the quality of the fixtures and fittings. It is located directly across the road from KL Sentral and has a taxi rank outside. It also provides excellent access to the KL Monorail. While it is great for KL Sentral, it is a couple of miles from the Golden Triangle although it should cost no more than 5 ringit in a taxi each way. I stayed in an executive room which was quite small when compared with...

Great hotel beside Sentral Station handy for airport
from hamoli
I stayed here for 2 nights on 23 Feb en route to Australia. As I hadn't been to KL before I chose Le Meridien specifically because of it's location at Sentral Station and KLIA Ekspres 28mins journey to the airport (KLIA). From the airport to Sentral Station the trip costs RM35 one way (approx £5). I arrived at Sentral Station and was met by a man who asked if I was staying at the Hilton or Le Meridien. I said I had a reservation at Le Meridien and he called for a porter to take me up to the hotel. The porter arrived quickly and took my...

Nice but not a great location
from LisaTai
We stayed here for just one night. It's a nice hotel but it's not special. The staff were friendly and helpful but the rooms felt a bit small (compared with the Traders Hotel we stayed at on our outbound journey). The location was the most disappointing thing - it just seemed a bit isolated. Also, I couldn't help but think that the Hilton next door was a lot nicer - the entrance was stunning. The Hilton is only marginally more expensive compared with the Le Meridien.
Very good indeed
from Teddy-E
We stayed at Le Meridien in October 2006 and it was superb. We had a deluxe corner room and the view from the marble bathroom was fantastic. Sitting in the bath, drinking a beer, watching trains and monorails whiz back and forth. Now that's a holiday afternoon! The little touchs here are great including aromatherapy candles and a little vestibule for luggage. The pool (shared with the Hilton) is large and has a brilliant long waterslide. Don't be shy i'm 44 and kept going on it. When we checked out reception kept our luggage all...

short changed & lost for words
from traminere
Stayed over the NYE period and the prices they charged were totally absurd!!!! No doubt the food was great and the beverage selection was wonderful, I seriously think that the person doing the pricing was pulling a fast one on their customers. Compared to the other hotels in KL, this has got to be the worst scam job I have encountered. It's a pity when you have a great product, good service but the prices were atrocious. Another shocking thing was when my wife checked in there was this European guy at the reception staring at my...

Nice location
from BMWBMW
Did not join membership until Jan 1, 2007. Stayed for 4 nights at the Le Meridien KL, in November 2005. With the same trip we stayed at the Sheraton Imperial. The Le Meridien was a much better location as it was located at the Central Station. It was a convenient location to travel throughout the city and oustide the city by bus or train or subway. Modern designed rooms, but a little bit smaller, may be for some, especially we just left a suite at Sheraton Imperial. Le Meridien had a great executive floor lounge. The main...
