Having travelled around Thailand a few times, only once have we found what we were set out to find when we left London; Paradise. And that is exactly what La-laanta is. I get bored of long biographies in these reviews so I'll keep this brief. The design detail on just about everything at Lalaanta is beautiful: the bar, the hangings in the trees, the pool, the bungalows even the layout of the paths. The bungalows are angled and staggered so that most (all? certainly ours did) face the sea. Our bungalow featured a kingsize bed on a raised area with a step down to a seating area and a couple of steps down into the bathroom with glass sink and large shower head. oh my god......what a gold mine nestled on the most beautiful beach in asia.... with the friendliest most helpfull and hospitable staff ever with the best food ever (vietnamese spring rolls) and the rates are great...trying to keep it short and sweet, but i can go on forever...ill def be coming back to this paradise many times over. What a great place to unwind and relax...most days we had the whole beach to ourselves... thank you for a wonderful stay. 10 out of 10!!!!

I spent two weeks together with my girlfriend at this wonderful resort and beach. This beautiful resort is located at bamboo bay a small beach about 400m. It is a very calm and quite place great to relax together with just girlfriend or also children. we were suposed to visit other places on our hollyday but we couldnt leave this place, it was so beautiful ! Well, not everybody makes it to the buttom of Ko Lanta over some dirty "roads" or should we say trails where your buddy on your motorbike better should walk and let you become dirty. But all of this quite adventurous travveling to bamboo bay pays of a hundred times if you finally reach it. After spending 2 weeks island hopping and partying hard, my girlfriend and I went in search of an ocean-view bungalow to spend the last week of our trip. In the distance on the most southern beach of Koh Lanta we could just make out the twinkling lights of the newly constructed resort that is La Laanta. Staying at the resort only a prolonged weekend after a lenghty stay at northern Koh Lanta. The atmosphere was superb, the resort is gently constucted within the surrounding nature. The pools and the beach are great. The bungalows are really nice and the interior design is tastefull. The food was great and there's a lot of it. The barbecue at night was really overwhelming. The owners and the staff at the resort made us feel like we were there on a personal invitation. It took less than half the stay to relax completely. Love to go back.<br... more

We found this resort after having stayed at the more crowded beach Klong Dao for a couple of nights... It was love at first sight, Bamboo Bay beach and La Laanta was everything we were looking for. 20 brand new bungalows, every single one with its own interior design/painting. Wounderful and helpful staff who did everything to make our stay as relaxing as possible. With a wounderful view over the bay we enjoyed the sunset evey night before dinner from our bungalow or from one of the hammocks hanging between the palmtrees just by the beach.... more

Lalaanta Hideaway resort is worth repeating several times over. My wife and I traveled from Seattle, Washington in the US. We heard of this beautiful beach from my son who visited a year earlier before LaLaanta resort was built. We booked a bugalow a few hundred meters away, at a place of his suggestion, and headed out for 3 weeks in Thailand, our first trip to Asia. We found this place on a forum on the internet and contacted one of the owners through e-mail. He was a fast writer and answered all our questions right away which actually made us wanna go more since he really helped us. We booked our bungalow and they told us that they would pick us up by the ferry. When we came we saw our "pick-up" right away with a sign and all.
