This attractive complex is set within beautiful mature gardens of bougainvillea, palm and cacti, which overlook the sea on the outskirts of Cala d'Or. In addition to the two swimming pools, bathing can be enjoyed from the rocky outcrops which edge the gardens.

Just come back from two weeks at Parque Mar.

This is a peaceful, relaxing complex, very well kept and run, the pools are great

and there are plenty of sunbeds to go around. It is in a quiet part of Cala Egos, but everything you need is only a short walk away.

The nightlife around Cala Egos consists of bars (mostly karaoke) and several restaurants, the best being Beatrice restaurant. Closely followed by Tonys. You can’t miss them. Make sure you are hungry if you go to the Irish Bistro, huge portions and great staff. Cala Dor is a 30 min stroll around the marina, plenty of bars and restaurants to call in on the way, spoilt for choice in Cala Dor.

Used the water buses several times, these are great for seeing a different side to the resorts, and the small tourist trains for getting about.

All in all a great place for all kinds of people, and will certainly go back again.

I have spent many summers at Parque Mar from the age of 5 to 18, and have loved every holiday I have spent there.

The staff are great! The complex is outstanding with superb views of the Mediterranean from all angles. The complex has a large grassy area which is suitable for small young children to play around in.

There are plenty of beautiful trees for those in search of the shade. The complex is clean and well-maintained. I believe it is the best complex in the resort.

Every time I have been there have been very few English guests there, mainly German... I sometimes struggled to get a sunbed!!

Cala Egos - which is the immediate resort from Parque Mar appears to be deteriorating. The central area of Cala D'Or also seems to be getting rather scruffy.

The marina is an excellent place to dine out and stroll around ogling over the amazing yachts!!

I will definitely be visiting Parque Mar for many more holidays to come!

I have visited the Parque Mar several times over a period of many years, both with my children when they were young and more recently as a mature couple of holiday makers.

The grounds are an oasis of beauty and tranquillity, the views over the Med superb. The staff, particularly the reception staff are courteous, helpful and always remember who you are, years later! The senior housekeeper leads a team who keeps the place spotless. The fact that we go back says it all.

The only down side when we were last there is that UK holiday makers were bound by some silly Health and Safety ruling to only being let ground floor apartments, a great shame since the views are really worth having from an upper apartment.

Cala Egos, the surrounding area has suffered a little in more recent times from the "chav" element, half naked fat-bellied men in restaurants (always British), their ill dressed wives and fat kids and a few more fast food outlets than you'd like.

Otherwise the restaurants and bars in walking distance offer excellent value for money. The best area for food and drinks is still the Marina where you can spend the evening feeling like one of the Beautiful People and still have change for a taxi home!

We had a ground floor 1 bedroom apartment that was well furnished and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and although mostly a German complex had no problem with language.

We were very impressed with the spaciousness of the grounds and had a view of the sea as would most if not all of the apartments. There is a small supermarket just across the road from the reception building and lots of shops and restaurants just a few minutes walk away.

The coast is rocky and there aren't a lot of sandy beaches within walking distance but there were two good pools in the complex, one being salt water. Although late in the season we had some very warm sunny days after a slightly wet start. We intend to go there again

The apartment was lovely. It was on two floors with 2 bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom. The balcony was through double doors from the main bedroom. Downstairs there was a fully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher, cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave. An additional shower/toilet room, dining area and living room with double doors onto your own hedged off garden. The garden had a table, chairs and BBQ. All apartments look out over the sea and the views are quite breathtaking.

Although the holiday was quite expensive, I felt that it was worth it, as it was our first family holiday for quite some time.

To get to the main tourist area it only took about 5 minutes to walk, but the apartments were far enough away not to be noisy at night.

There was some entertainment on site in the evenings, but we tended to go out every night.

If you want a relaxing holiday without too many screaming children, this is the place. The staff are very friendly and helpful and our rep. that we had was absolutely wonderful. She even accompanied me on a daytrip, as my husband and boys don’t like that sort of thing, so we went on an island tour.

I would definitely go back again, although I think it was a little too peaceful for my now growing up fast lads!
