Hotel Scaletta

We booked this hotel having read about it in a guide book. It was very easy to find with on street parking available. We had a lovely room , with air con, and a big double bath inthe bathroom. The hotel was very clean, the breakfast buffet good and the owners very friendly. We ate in the restaurant 2 nights - excellent food and a live pianist both nights. Location was great. It was very busy so you do need to book in the summer.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It's rated as a 2-star but I would say by UK standards it's at least a very good 3-star. The room was very comfortable and had mini-bar, HUGE tv, air-con and good bathroom. The hotel has been recently refurbished and is very attractive throughout. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.

This is a nice, newly decorated hotel with friendly staff. When we arrived there was nobody at the hotel but there was a note on the door for me to to phone the owner when I arrived. They had left a key behind a shutter so I could let myself in. The room was large and nicely decorated, very clean. We were in room 2 - beware that rooms 1 and 2 are on the ground floor next to reception and the breakfast room so there is noise from about 6.30 when breakfast is laid out. This hotel is close to the bus station and the Roman Amphitheatre. We had a room with a new tub large enough for two to sit in. Although there was a hand-held shower hose, curiously there was no shower curtain so we just didn't stand up to wash. There was a safe, mini-bar, and air-con. We ate once at their restaurant, very decent food. Other guests had all their suppers there and seemed satisfied with the meals. The buffet breakfast was fine. I would stay here again.

We stayed at the Hotel Scaletta in Pula for two nights in January 2007. The hotel is listed as being one star but has been refurbished recently, & we wanted a central location (there appear to be very few hotels in the centre). On arrival we were offered a choice of rooms, either first floor or ground floor (I suspect we were the only guests, on the first night at least) and the room we were given had a balcony.
