Luxury, but again not quite
from Stinkaroo
We stayed in one of the junior suites for 2 nights. Location: excellent - in the thick of it. everything within walking or cabbing distance. Service: Good, but still learning. They accomodated requests like "can you get us little miss sunshine" at 4am in the morning. The limosine or transport services are a nightmare - tried to charge us RM180 for an airport transfer and RM 15 for a 5 minute cab ride to another hotel where we were meeting relatives. Room: very clean, very chic. The bed is excellent. It was noisy...

noisy nights at the Maya
from steereb
Really neat hotel, cool/hip interiors. Deluxe suite is HUGE! However, I cannot say how loud the rooms are at night. We were on the 8th floor, but still every night at 3:00 a.m. (this is when the bars close) the parking lot under our thin-paned window was a flurry of activity as revelers were going home...If you want to stay here, don't ask for a tower view - that is the side with the parking lot. otherwise, the breakfast was good, service friendly, and the hydo pool was really great. (we transferred to the Traders after 2 nights, and...

Amazing service!
from julesy
I booked this hotel for a few reasons - the reviews were mixed but seemed to point to the fact that this hotel was overall pretty good; the location was good; it was a "boutique" hotel rather than a chain hotel, and therefore a little smaller (by KL standards especially). I loved the look of it so decided to go ahead.... I contacted the hotel by email and requested a room with a view onto the Petronas Towers - my husband is an archecture fan and I knew he'd appreciate the view! It was to be the last night of our honeymoon, a stopover in...

Cold Reception
from Brett75
We booked this hotel based on the reviews and photos that we had seen here and other locations. On arrival at the hotel there was no meet and greet. The staff memberseated at a desk with a laptop simplysaid " Please sit down" and " passport". My partner handed over his passport and for the next five minutes the staff member just held the passport in one hand and typed on the laptop with the other hand. I have never experienced this sort of cold reception to any hotel we have ever stayed at. The rooms are...

Lovely, stylish hotel
from Sandra032
We stayed at the Maya for the first three nights of our honeymoon. The hotel is very stylish, with a boutique-y feel to it. Our room was large, with a lovely bathroom and a big, comfy bed. There was an excellent view of the Petronas towers. The communal areas are well designed and the restaurant is good. The best thing about it is the spa which does excellent massages and has a great therapy pool. We had a great time there and would definitely stay there again.
no 5 star hotel, but clearly working on it
from MoCaAmsterdam
We stayed at the Maya Hotel for 3 nights mid December and found it so - so. I just received a very detailed response to the customer survey form we filled out there. Just one of many signs that Maya Hotel is very ambitious, and is working very hard to please everyone who stays here. All staff are on their very best behavior, this is very noticeable and very pleasant. Their spa (masseuses) are the best. A good thing! The location is also great. That said, I must mention that we did not think The Maya deserves 5 stars yet. <br...

Wonderful hotel, modern and chic
from Noni1976
We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. Overall, the experience was very good. Front desk staff were friendly. We initially booked the studio but were upgraded to the deluxe suite at no extra charge! The deluxe suite was big with a separate dining, sitting, work and bedroom area. There was a DVD player and the minibar was well-stocked with a coffee machine, mini fridge, sufficient glasses, beverages etc. They replenish the minibar daily. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in. The room had a minimalist look. Cool modern design. <br...

Great Rooms and good location to the towers
from WorldWanderMan
The Maya Hotel doesn't look like much from the street but inside it has a very modern minimalistic style. Hotel is open air inside which means until you get to your room it can be very warm. Visually the public areas are very attractive. The rooms were excellent. Modern studio style with a DVD player. Hardwood floors with a lot of windows for light. Great looking space and very functional as well. My room didn't have much of a view. Bathrooms were clean with a open walk in shower. The shower floor was wood which was a bit weird but still...

Pure Indulgence!!!
from ng.s.s
We checked into Maya Hotel on 11 Nov 2007 for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. We got upgraded from a Junior Suite to a Deluxe Suite, because the staff at the front desk notice that my birthday was just over by a few days. I must say this is very impressive! Last year, I check-in to M.O on my birthday they didn't even wish me! The Deluxe Suite has a millon dollars view, the Pentrona Towers are right outside our windows. The room is very big and is well decorated. We like the rain shower and the big bath tub. Bed is...

Excellent service
from janfusion
We stayed at the Hotel Maya for 4 nights, 2 at the start of our honeymoon and 2 at the end. We had a superior room with a view of the Petronas towers which was amazing - we didn't want to close the blinds. The room was very modern and a good size with separate toilet and a separate wash area (2 sinks), also a luggage storage area which was useful. The shower area was designed as a wet room with a rain shower which was just amazing!! The only thing was there was a slight damp smell as you entered the room - maybe due to the wet room?? Didn't...
